The collector of the sea turtles’ egg usually will tax the beach during nesting seasons where they can find plenty of sea turtles’ nests with 100-140 eggs per nest for the common Green turtle. In order to conserve the sea turtles actions need to be made especially for those that are aware of the declining of sea turtles in Malaysian water. Ironically, Terengganu state had gazetted Rantau Abang as one of the turtle sanctuary but unbelievably allowing the sales of sea turtle eggs in the market. This course of action should be brought back to the state’s court in order to fully conserve the sea turtles in Terengganu waters. The government agencies and non-governmental organization (NGO) should work together as the government should be focusing on the banning of sea turtles’ eggs marketing and the NGO such as World Wildlife Fund (WWF) doing the conservation works. At the northern part of Redang Island, called Chagar Hutang is another sanctuary place for the turtles to lay eggs and part of a conservation unit of sea turtle which worked out by Sea Turtle Research Unit (SEATRU), University Malaysia Terengganu (UMT).
