TYPES OF BEAKS IN BIRDS
All bird species have a beak formed by the elongation of bones of upper and lower jaws. Beaks are adapted to acquiring, handling and consuming the particular foods. A bird has no teeth, so its beak is very important to assist with feeding. A bird beak differs based on the birds place in its ecosystem. Birds have evolved different beak styles over the years so that they can better cope in their environments.
