Unhealthy habits that can take a toll on your kidneys
Your internal organs like kidney, heart, brain, liver, and gall bladder form an important part of your body system. Any damage caused to them is a huge impact and can hamper your normal life. Although these organs are sturdy and they continue to work normally even after changing conditions, still some of our habits might be conitnuously damaging these organs like a slow poison. Kidneys is one of the vital organs in our body that is concerned with removal of wastage from our body. That is a very important job else our blood will be impure and eventually we will fall prey to several other disorders.
A healthy human has two kidneys, on the lower abdominal area. Out of these at least one healthy kidney is a must for the healthy living of a human. Kidneys also help in water retention according to the needs of the body. …show more content…

Over use of supplements – Although nutritional supplements are good for your health and you might be taking them to increase the protein content of your body or to increase the mass. Excessive usage of these supplements can cause a harm to your kidneys. So it is very much important to consult a doctor or dietician before taking any sort of vitamins or herbs.
Too much use of medication – it is important to take medication only with the prescription of a registered medical practitioner. Some people have the habit of taking a lot of medicines especially in case of headache, fever or cold and cough. Some of these medications can cause damage to your kidneys over a period of time. Do not exceed the dosage or duration for which your doctor has prescribed a medicine. OTC medications for pain reliveing and some of the antibiotics are usually bad for your kidneys if taken on a regular
