Right now someone is crying for help. Someone has just been slaughtered. Simply for humans to consume. Although most of the population believes that meat is necessary for human health and survival, it is not. It has been ingrained into our minds that we need meat for nutrients, milk to grow and to maintain strong bones, and that a plant-based diet, is not enough to keep us alive and healthy. For years, research has shown that the vegan lifestyle is much healthier than a diet with large quantities of meat and other dairy products. Opting for a vegan diet is not only better for human health, but is also better for the environment, and is more ethical.

A vegan diet is part of a lifestyle that excludes the consumption or use of any products made from animals. Vegans do not eat animal products, including honey, eggs, gelatin, or dairy. They will not use clothes, soaps, or other products that are animal-sourced in any way. A vegan diet can be one of the healthiest ways to live. It’s a myth that eating a vegan diet is expensive by nature. In fact, vegan diets, in particular, are very accommodating to budget living and eating. Many of the foods considered to be staples in a typical, healthy vegan diet are very affordable. Fresh vegetables and fruits can be found at supermarkets and farmers’ markets for very reasonable prices. Whole grains, legumes, and other beans are also very inexpensive, certainly cheaper than processed and packaged foods. When bought in bulk whole grains and beans can cost just pennies per meal. And because they are full of fiber, they make you feel full and satisfied, without the dangerous saturated fat of animal
