The waste has been a major environmental issue or common everywhere since the industrial revolution. Besides the waste we create at home, school and other public places, there are also waste those comes from hospitals, industries, farms and other sources. Humans rely so much on materials things and they all end up as waste. Bhutan being a small Himalayan Kingdom landlocked between India and china, where “Gross National Happiness” philosophy is the guiding spirit for the development process, sustainable development. There are number of environmental issues in Bhutan. The most pressing issue in Bhutan is the disposal of waste in open land fill or open space has become very common. The main purpose of the act is also being able to promote the waste management in Bhutan.
Bhutan’s first agency for the waste management called Greener way was established in 8th March, 2010, aimed at managing waste in an effective and environmentally friendly manner.
Another method to prevent waste pollution by formatting public club like Green Club and school waste management club in schools through the country. The formation of the waste clubs in the school as extra activity, also to learn more on the rooting of littering.
There are also other agencies like City Corporations Office and Municipal Office especially in the four region towns, who is responsible for maintenance and cleaning the towns.
Other method for preventing littering and garbage problem country will be solving by distributing the dust binds for the urban areas and rural areas and give awareness about the waste management through public media such as Bhutan Broadcasting Services and the national newspaper
Id. Because of the vast population of people living in these cities, any mismanagement of the waste could lead to catastrophic results. Further, without a holistic system in place in these cities, the system could be abused, manipulated, and exploited. But by running the only facilities in these cities, the state can effectively manage the system for the benefit of all.

American produce a lot of trash, now add the rest of the world and tell me how much the entire world produces in one whole year. If you did the math it turns out to be that the world throws away 250 trillion pounds of trash each year. Thats a lot of trash and waste. Consequences of trash and waste are that it builds up over time and then we run out of room till we start to live on this trash and waste.

Today, the biggest problem that our environments face is litter. The more we litter, the more it becomes a habit and it destroy our environment. Many people don’t care about their little mistake can affect their whole environment. Government spends lot of money just to clean up the litter that many people tossed out on the public areas without thinking how bad it is. If anyone thinks about the effects of litter, imaging how much money could be saved and used for more important services.
The word ‘Changmakers’ ,believes that, was firstly introduced by Ashoka foundation through print magazine in 1994. The magazine introduced how the changemakers (or called as social entrepreneurs) are tackling the world’s most critical problems with innovative, system-changing ideas. There are so many definitions for this word. In my opinion, changemakers is anyone who seeks to make a difference in society, no matter how small that difference may be and make it in a positive way for the betterment of all.
Recycling has become a very controversial issue all over the world for many different cultures. America has been arguing for decades on how to properly recycle materials and how to dispose of materials appropriately. Today, the amount of trash in landfills that could be recycled is ridiculous and very unhealthy for both adults and children.
