As we know, history can show us the people and culture of our ethnic group because it includes historical events that are recorded in documents overtime by researchers, historians and people of that country. We want to know about the past because we find it challenging, frustrating, exciting. And all of us believe that by expanding our experience to the lives of men and women in different times and places, history teaches us valuable things both about others and ourselves.
Firstly, we learn history to know about our origin. Study of history is the broadest and the most searching approach to the question of who we are as both individuals and ethnic group. Furthermore, we explore about how humankind has changed since its ancestors walked on the land. Beside that, history teaches us what is special about a particular land and people and we also know about characteristics of human beings, how their thought and behavior.

In my opinion, the major reason of studying history is to have a connection to the other people in the country. In order to have a solidary community, we need to have a common culture that binds us. For example, in U.S today, they do not have a common religion or a common ethnic heritage. What a disadvantage! So when we all know what our country has stood for and been about over the years, we are able to feel that we are a part of the whole and the other parts of the whole are like us in some important ways.
Finally, we study history because it is exciting and fun. Maybe not for you. Certainly not for all but for some.

Medical Theology and Anatomical practices from the 1400s to the 1600s are the two main subject areas for this investigation. History has brought about a lot of change. There are so many different ideals and beliefs that originated in the past. There were so many wars and killing sover things that were sometimes for the worst.
Most people have many core memories that didn’t even happen to them but instead happened on a TV show or movie they watched. This leads to many awkward situations when people talk about their life stories and people seem to remember that same event on a TV show they had watched. This remembrance of an event that never happened could be due to many factors. A study performed by Northwestern University concluded that “Every time you remember an event from the past, your brain networks change in ways that can alter the later recall of the event. Thus, the next time you remember it, you might recall not the original event but what you remembered the previous time” ( Paul ).
History, by definition, is made from unchanging facts and events. Despite this, most history books teach the past differently. How can the same information be taught in a way so that the reader gains something different from each text? America Past and Present by Robert A. Divine and A Peoples History of the United States by Howard Zinn write about common events and ideas, however, they convey them in both different and similar ways. First contact between Spaniard and Indian is talked about in both books.
Usually the information conversed in history classes reflect the building blocks of what is occurring in our society and world of today. As the world changes around us, our picture frame in history changes as well. “It’s written and rewritten in each generation. In History 1111, it teaches a broad introduction to the development of the United States. From the casualty losses to major expansion, the United States has developed World History with each major aspect of important, historical events. In this course I have learned not only important events, but how to analyze them and how they affect our world today. History is a great topic because as we acknowledge past events, it influences the future. Events really mold the culture and society that everyone lives in.

And unfortunately, this is more or less the only way we are able to view history, simply because it has all happened many many years ago. But if we were able to look at history the way we look at our lives today, as not just a series of facts, but as a real era with real, living people, then we can gain an enormous amount of insight into what a certain period in history was truly like. Past, present, and future is what we are told to think about, but are we overlooking the past? We seem to get caught up in thinking about what we are doing now, and what we will be doing in ten years, but I think the most important thing is to know your past. It’s critical to understand what you, and other people’s ancestors did before. Remembrance is important to know your history and so you do not let the terrible things recur.
History does not always convey the absolute truth. It offers only one side of the story. The strong and powerful voices always drown out the sounds of the weak and beaten. The winner’s word will always be taken over the loser’s. The content that lies within the textbooks was not written by the defeated.
