Isolation is Unhealthy for the Brain and Body Isolating from the public allows so much of a difference to be made in mental health which leads to physical health. Without public interaction, humans will not have the estate of normality. Isolation is destructive to the body. In “The Yellow Wallpaper” ,a short story, and Social Disconnectedness, Perceived Isolation, and Health among Older Adults, explains how mental health generates to physical health in a way that is very invidious. Social isolation is not only unhealthy to younger adults, but it also causes older adults to feel socially disconnected and seemingly isolated.
This lack of real personal interaction is leading to feelings of isolation. On social media we generally see people having fun and who are happy. They are unwilling to follow standards set by society, and make damaging conscious decisions such as using drugs or committing crimes. Rutger Bregman of “The Correspondent” illustrates more valid examples about the lower class, stating how they are usually the last to sign up for money management training and “when responding to job ads, the poor often write the worst applications and show up at interviews in the least professional attire” (Bregman 1). Although this might be true, the impacting cognitive effects from an impoverished upbringing can explain these behaviors. Loneliness has become an increasingly common issue for the elderly (Boccia et al, 2015). It can be defined as an unpleasant disorder where a person feels apart from others (Botek, 2015). Numerous people can encounter loneliness and depression as they may be living alone and can feel isolated because there is a lack of family connection (Singh & Misra, 2009). Loneliness and isolation can cause the older individual’s to be more susceptible to depression (Runcan, 2013). This may result in the incapability to become involved in community events.
Some condemn it for the reason that it contradicts life. Majority of the humanity thinks that dying is not essential and that it hinders our life as a human which cause us to view “having to die” only in a negative way. Sometimes we fear death as it is like a shadow that always follows us. It sometimes make our life complicated for always worrying about death—a certain thing in human life that is so uncertain. It can be compared to as a finish line in the race of life that most of us do not want to cross.
They would not be what they used to be. Instead of being happy they will be lonely. Instead of being cheerful, they would be shy. They would not be able to speak out for themselves as they worry too much about being judged for having a single parent. They would feel left out on graduations.
