Since then these 3 major reasons, I’ve found to support this that students shouldn’t be paid are bad , is that getting rewarded for true achievement, 8% rise in college , and not getting the desired grades and anticipated money. Though money is a good thing,it could be bad sometimes. And this claim will truly help as if , students getting paid is a bad idea because they’ll only get motivated by the money, not learning as well, and getting dumber always moving up a grade. To begin with, students shouldn’t get paid for good grades. And to state this question , students shouldn’t be paid for true achievement.
Farber believes that the grades create phony motivation and students only want to please the teachers. According to Farber, students only retain the material until they are graded on it. No longer having a grading system would leave students having no drive in school. Schools would no longer have a basic form of ranking the students and see how well they are doing. If all the students are worried about is getting good grades to get those scholarships, then they are in school for the wrong reason. I believe that the point of going to school is to learn material not to take the easy route to satisfy yourself by getting good grades. I would rather fail something and learn from it, than pass with flying colors and not learn anything at all just because I wanted the money. Yes there is more of a reward for getting good grades rather than learning the material but what are you really getting out of it if you are not learning anything. It is important to receive payment for remarkable grades since the reward is a method of motivation that may prevent students from failing in school and in life. Students who acquire payment for impressive grades tend not to join gangs, use drugs or abuse alcohol. Some people argue that kids need to master important materials. It is true that kids need to learn what they are taught, holding them back will not encourage them.
The bullied students will work hard for themselves, but the bullies do not work and receive the same amount of money as the students who do work hard. In conclusion, students should not be paid for grades because all in all it is unfair. It will help students get good grades, but that does not mean they will actually learn the material.

I believe to make students work harder in school and to start money managing sooner, they should get paid for having good grades. Children in school work and strive for an education, at least I hope most of them do. Students that see school as pointless and they aren’t getting anything out of it, typically don’t try their hardest. Poor grades affect both them and the school. Although college may not necessarily ensure success in the future, is not the only path in which success can be found, and is not a good path for every student, a majority of students that graduate high school want to go to college and need to know what it is they need to accomplish before their four years are up. Some of the colleges shifting to the idea of accepting applicants not based on test scores think that the potential to do well in college shouldn’t be based on these things. These argue that personal traits and characteristics are what determine success. Traits like these aren’t truly measurable though.
