School Suspension- Is It Worth the Trouble? Is suspending students for their behaviors effective? Are they learning their lesson? When a student is suspended from school for their behaviors, they are sent home and are not allowed to come to school for a given period of time, that is based on how bad their action was. Although students shall be punished for their actions, schools should not suspend students for their bad behaviors, they shall be punished in other ways, because they like not having to go to school so they will act up more, they will miss a lot of important lessons in their classes, and parents would have to figure out a plan for their child to stay home all day while they are at work.

First of all, without teacher assistance at home, the chances of making mistakes increase. Frustrated by mistakes resulting from not having any teacher guidance at home, students may feel stressed and anxious. Making mistakes can additionally cause students to feel like they are stupid and can cause students, who already dislike school, to dislike it even more. Also, homework takes away valuable time from other commitments that students have. Some students have part-time jobs and family responsibilities to fulfill.
Middle school teachers should give students less homework. First, a kid’s mental health and life can be affected by too much homework in many ways. To add, a lot of homework can take away from a student’s time to sleep, which can leave many side effects on the student.

Additionally, raising the age for exiting pre-graduation may not stop all dropouts. Some children cannot either afford to go to school or must get a job to help out their family because they cannot afford transport or food for school. Instead of giving generalized assignments to students with different needs, a system of specific assignments for students that have the same needs. That may take more work and resources, but if the parents were more involved with the education process, then they could help the teachers make sure they have the necessary information and tools to help each student to best they can. Another solution would be to cut the overall amount of homework is given to students. If a legal limit was placed on the amount of homework was given, it would reduce the amount of health risk in stressed students, and take a particularly large load off the shoulders of parents with multiple kids, and varying ages. Homework is a term used to describe assignments given to students by their teacher to be completed outside regular class period. In conclusion, schools shouldn’t assign students homework. When considering the choice of whether teachers should assign homework or not, the choice should definitely be that students should not get homework.
