World Cancer Day 2015
In this world, God has blessed us with many things that aren’t only precious to us but also make us able to say thanks to God unconsciously when they reach to us at the time when we badly need them. There are two types of people living in this world, one group is of those who get God’s blessings and enjoy them at their best and one group is of those who get miseries. Some people have such circumstances that are enough to cope up with these problems while some have to lose their lives while fighting with the miseries. Actually miseries are sometimes the rewards of man’s bad deeds and sometimes it is a type of examination given by God where the God is invigilator. The need of hour is to have patience and be thankful to God in every condition.
Miseries can be of many kinds. Poverty, illiteracy, hunger, disease are all such miseries that are really depressing. People who are victim of poverty also fighting with the problem of hunger, disease and illiteracy along with it. People literally die with poverty, because they have nothing to eat, they have no money to get education and get good jobs and because of all these sufferings they are helpless to eat whatever they get from anywhere that lead towards the harmful diseases and sometimes

It is presented in a latest report that about 8.2 million die with this fatal disease every year and approximately 4 million people have pre- mature deaths aged between 30-69. In order to reduce the death rate, it is needed to take urgent actions against the cancer by running the cancer awareness campaigns and by making the physical strategies. The countries whose income is less enough to fight with the disease must be aided with the funds to control cancer. World Cancer day is the best and most suitable platform to spread the message to control the cancer and raise the awareness level of the disease in the minds of people and media of the whole
Which still leaves an un-answered question, but still a fight. Cancer is a Very serious matter and a nationwide outreach. Known as Breast cancer month but it’s also Cancer awareness month. So one day all the praying, questions, and donation will pay off and cancer will be no
Approximately 100,000 children die of cancer before the age of 15 in the world every day. According to the Journal of American Medical Association, roughly 80% of children with cancer in high-income countries, such as the United States, survive. With that in mind, we must be thankful for the facilities we have close to home, such as Children’s Mercy Hospital.
According to the National Cancer Institute, “In 2015, an estimated 1,658,370 new cases of cancer will be diagnosed in the United States” (“Cancer Statistics”). What if one of those cases was your mother? Husband? Grandson? What if more horrifically, it was all three?
The number two killer in the world is cancer. There are many non-profit research organizations in the entire world.
As of last year, I became Co-President of the Stand Up Against Cancer Club. The officer positions were passed down to myself and two other friends our sophomore year by senior of the class of 2015. Though our club had a very slow start last year, we are excited to recruit new members and hopefully conduct more service projects. We hope to get the school more involved with our club and want to make a difference even if its only in small measures. Last year, we made christmas cards to send to Brenner’s children’s hospital.
A New Battlefront “Pain is a message that you don 't have to listen to.” – Rabbi Elimelech Goldberg When it comes to the world at large, cancer is one thing that society loosely defines as soul-crushing. Though the cure for it is still being discovered, its malignancy can still be fought. One of the leaders in the battle against cancer is Rabbi Elimelech Goldberg. He is a hero and should be recognized as one because he helps in the fight against cancer, aids with young kids ' issues, and does not pursue his goals for personal gain.
October’s Lupus Awareness Month wear purple to bring awareness to the disease. Lupus is an autoimmune disease that could take years to diagnose because symptoms can disguise as other illnesses. The disease produces autoantibodies that attack healthy cells, including skin, joint, heart, lungs, kidneys, and brain. Lupus affects approximately 1.5 million Americans, mostly women.
Today, there are many cancer patients and many other hospitalized patients that have hope that they 're going to get better than they were before. Teachers, students, parents, doctors, scientists, and many more people all around the world have hope. For example, when a cancer patient is diagnosed, they automatically hope that the treatments that they get are successful and make the cancer go away. In addition, there are many marches going on in this world today. From the Women’s March to the Black Lives Movement to even the March for
As patriotic Australians we pride ourselves to be a nation that accepts and respects the beliefs of all cultures, but on this historical day majority of Australians tend to forget the true meaning behind the celebration. If you ask today’s society, what they did this Australia day mass numbers would respond with “binged on alcohol” and “indulged in a barbecue.” Consequently, this day cannot be called a national celebration when some of our fellow Australians are grieving while others are out celebrating an occasion they know little about. Giving due regard to the indigenous people and their mostly negative perspective on this issue should be a priority. A new date, not the 26th of January should be established, as rather than unite, it seems to divide Australians into different viewpoints.
There wasn’t much I could do anymore; I now two different types of cancer. My family came to visit me every day and I could tell how much pain they were in by visiting me. I could tell that it hurt them for me to be in this position. This is one of the many reasons why I had to stay positive. Not only for myself, but also for my family and for many others who were suffering from the disease I was suffering
Cancer is one of the scariest diagnoses to go through or experience with a close family member or friend. Henrietta Lacks a black woman in the 50’s was diagnosed with cervical cancer little did she know her doctors stole her cells for research and never spoke about it. In The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks you get to experience what the author. Rebecca Skloot goes through as she tries to figure out what happened with Henrietta Lack in the early 200’s Skloot gets in contact to get to know the situation better but the Lacks family knew little to none about Henrietta’s condition and the research that was being done to her revolutionary cells.
Introduction The article Cancer Alley: Big Industry, Big Problem written by Trymaine Lee discusses the connection between health risk and the environment in the south, particularly in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The article explains the connection between poverty, and the location of industrial plants that expose people to toxic pollutants. Studies conducted on the United States show that poor people, mostly poor African Americans, are more likely to live in neighborhood that is close to industrial plants, which causes them to be more at risk for health issues due to the environment. In general, the article explains that in the United States, particularly in the south, there is something called environmental racism. Environmental racism can be described as certain people in certain areas are exposed to contaminated air, soil and water.
It could never actually happen to me, could it? A routine day as cliche as a 90’s sitcom, with the innocence of a young child, suddenly turns into a world of hell. No, it could not happen to me, maybe you, but not me. That was the thought of an ignorant and self-absorbed 16-year-old Charles Butler. Until one day, after a regular day of school, I am told by my mom that my father is sick.
More and more people have cancer these days. It is almost like the plague that no one wants to talk about, and it keeps getting worse. • In the early 1900s, one in 20 developed cancer. •
Cancer is an abnormal production of cells that divide uncontrollably within the body (Black & Hogan 2006). What is more vaguely understood are the mechanisms the underlie this, the different effects on each patient, and how to stop it. Some common types of cancer are breast cancer, prostate cancer, skin cancer, leukemia, and brain cancer. Each of these various diagnoses cause different biological and psychological stresses on the patient. Because old cells do not die and instead grow out of control, often, a mass will form, otherwise known as a tumor.
