Worship of the Mother Goddess in the Modern World The worship of the Mother Goddess is considered an ancient practice. Over thousands of years, there have been new deities and new religions being practiced. There are some countries, like India, in which they still worship the female deities, along with many other gods; however, the female deities tend to be focusing more on death and takes away life, not giving it. Christianity is most commonly practiced in the world, a monotheistic religion where there is a man in charge and man have a higher authority; but what if the worship of the Mother Goddess was still the most popular spirituality in the world? There could be a lot of changes in the world including people being more in tune with Earth, no more women discrimination, and over population. In this essay, I will be explaining why these examples could be a result if the Mother Goddess was the current focus of the world’s worship. Woman would be in higher cast positions all over the world and would be in higher positions of authority than man. Man could most likely be the ones who feel discriminated because women are creators just as the Mother Goddess. People would feel the need to be more loving and take better care of the Earth. Stereotypes would be lifted and women would be treated equally as men, they would have the same rights and same privileges. There could be positive and negative consequences if the worship of the Mother Goddess was the most popular spirituality of the world; however, I do believe people would have better intentions. It can be strange to think of a place where man is not the dominant species and that there is a Mother Goddess and not just God. The world might just be a better place if we had the Mother Goddess to look up
