Cutting Health would have students 6th through 12th grade not be well educated about bullying, teamwork, or the body systems. Cutting these would save money because you wouldn't need to buy school equipment or pay the teachers but firing those teachers means that they are out of good paying jobs.
The budget is insufficient to provide healthy foods. The budget is adequate if the food schools want to provide kids are low in quality and unhealthy. If we dive further into this issue, it shows that schools selling low-quality food is interested more in profit than health. “Their mission is not public health, but profit, so they’ll continue to sell the health damaging food that’s most profitable.” The fix for this is simple let the government step in and say provide healthy foods if schools don 't they will be fined. The second issue is that the food that the school is selling is not healthy at all.
Some believe that gum chewing is the nastiest habit in the world, it can impede the learning process, and gum chewing can be noisy and distracting to other students. Others teachers make their own rules. They allow gum chewing as long as it does not interfere with their ability to teach or students ' ability to concentrate. Some say chewing gum should not be allowed in school, while other argue that it should be allowed in school. Schools should allow gum in school, as well as the classroom because it allows kids to concentrate.
In this essay, the author David H Freeman claims a new and practical solution to fight against obesity. He states that advocating wholesome foods is unrealistic, and if people convert their direction to making junk food healthier, the problem could be fixed. To be honest, canceling junk food is impossible since there are so many junk food lovers. In other words, their eating habits are hard to change, also whole foods are expensive and inconvenient. Why not make the junk foods healthier so that people are going to lose their weight as well as enjoy their snakes?
Gatto did not see any benefit in children attending public schools. He foresees that those who are homeschooled would learn much more than those who attend public school. Conversely, Robinson in his argument was leaning towards what we can benefit if we reform public education in our country as done in every country on earth. He concluded that in the current educational standard, we are trying to meet the future by doing what they did in the past. By so doing, the system of education alienates millions of kids who do not see any purpose in going to school.
Kids should be able to eat what they want to eat. It is not the government 's job to tell kids what they can and cannot eat, it is the parent’s. Parents need to be more aware of what their kids are eating in school, not the government. Right now, kids must have either a vegetable or fruit on their tray. Now the garbage is much heavier now, due to all the apples and oranges being thrown away.
The last reason, is that it is not good to make school lunches healthier because the government is ignoring parents and saying that parent can’t make the healthy choice for their children. One of the reasons that people agreed is some parents are paying unhealthy school lunches that their kids are eating. In the article it stated “Less Fat, More Veggies”, it said, “It recommends meals containing fewer calories, less fat and salt, and more fruit, vegetables
Fast food companies should stop targeting kids for their benefits, as kids health is compromised due to the fast food kids eats. People have to be aware of the effects of fast food and people should stop eating fast food to stop the risk of bad health problems. People should eat homemade food to make sure they are not providing bad food to their bodies. People need to know the difference between good and bad food, and the effects of good and bad food which will help them pick healthy food. Schlosser demonstrates fast food as being the food that has negative impacts on people’s lives, and helps give knowledge to people to understand the health related problems due to fast food to help make healthy decision while pick food to provide healthy
An example of irony in the section about the students is the idea of what is good or bad. As its states, “Students throw out many good things, including food” (Eighner 110). Presumably, food is thrown out because it is bad and is unfavorable to the student, however; Eighner finds that the student throwing out food is a good thing because it is favorable thing to him and others. Another example of irony is the food’s value. As its states, “The students does not know that, and since it is Daddy’s money, the student decides not to take a chance” (Eighner 111).
In the same sense, school vouchers have a very bad effect on public school education. “Perhaps the most important concern about school vouchers is the effect they have on public schools. Many people acknowledge that vouchers help the students who use them, but are worried that they will make public schools worse by draining money or by ‘creaming’ the best students” (Forster 10). When parents are able to bring their child to any school they please, they bring the funding with them. Schools that lose students also lose their funding, and what is left over for the students who stay is lower quality and lesser
