It is a good word to remember, because it’s a word that changes our lives forever for those who love Jesus. On Day 6 we talked about how to ask Jesus to live in your heart. If you have never done that before, and you would like to now, or if you don’t know how to do that, we have a simple prayer you might like to say in the back of this book, that will help you do that. It is a small prayer, but it will bring big changes to your life, because Jesus will come into your life and become your Saviour.
After questioning one gets to the point that the reason for existence of mankind is passing immortality and eternal life. The atonement of Jesus Christ is the wonderful support in life. As said by Detroit Interfaith Council in Sin and Atonement, Repentance and Redemption in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, “Because this plan allows for our imperfections, sins, and mistakes, there is also a need for an atonement and for an Atoner andRedeemer. “. In the Garden of Gethsemane Jesus Christ suffered harsh death, atoning for the people’s sins.
The father and the many bystanders question the power of God when even the disciples cannot help the boy. This leads Jesus to utter the aforementioned quote about the importance of having faith. This proves that Jesus believes that anyone can be saved, if he has faith in God. This could even extend to the rich man. If the rich man had faith in God, he too could be saved.
Because God loves us, we want to follow the Word of God. We want to be like Jesus and abide in the Word as the Word abides in us. We want to share in the mission of Jesus Christ and soak in the glory of God. We are not ashamed of God. We are not ashamed to live in the Prince of peace or embodiment of the King of kings.
Only those who remained blameless and free of sin would reach God’s presence. Salvation in the Old Testament is viewed primarily as a means of going to heaven, which calls for obedience of Gods commandments to be worth before Him. Although this is similar to the New Testament, the New Testament mainly emphasizes on deliverance from sin through Jesus Christ, the son of God, who died to redeem his people from sin and its consequences. Salvation in the Old Testament was mainly based on faith in God (Kärkkäinen 63). For instance, God considered Abraham, who was faithful to him, as a man through whom he would raise a great generation that would please and obey Him.
By genuinely loving him, with joy, and pleasure and doing everything God commands. After, the passing of my brother and my overwhelming college experience. I had finally understood and learned the word of Christ. The fact that I started to get more involved in my church was terrific doing so much such as going on mission trips, singing in the choir, and sharing my past experiences to help others. I felt like a brand new person as if God had to rebuild me with his grace, and promises.
Might we advise you to "Accept Christ" at this point and consider the subject finished? How does one have a relationship with God? Seems like we just answered that question as well. First we said that one must relate to God in deception, and then we said that New Covenant Union with God is the Truth. Is anyone beginning to see a pattern forming here?
Without faith it is impossible to please God for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:6. Children of God, confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that you may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. James 5:16.
It clearly says that human beings have no capacity to save themselves from the power of sin in their lives (Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.”) However, because God loves His created beings very unconditionally that He offered and sacrificed His Son Jesus Christ to die a gruesome death on the cross, in behalf of humanity, to satisfy the requirements of sin. Jesus resurrection from the dead is the evidence of His victory over death. Therefore, the God of life offers eternal life to all who will accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior. To make this more understandable and appealing to these Filipinas, I emphasized well that the eternal life that God is giving to them has no limitations. The gift of God’s eternal life does come in the package.
