At first it was confusing because she talked a lot about Essentrics first and kept saying she would explain it later on in the book. She was hyping the Essentrics program a lot in the beginning saying how thirty minutes a day can help pain, slow aging, heal injuries and so on. After reading the first couple of pages, the book was getting repetitive and I wanted to know what the thirty minutes exercise were already. On the other hand the hype of Essentrics was actually worthy because that was her hook in the book. Reading the first couple of pages in the first chapter was interesting and deep explaining in a cellular level how our bodies work.
Reflection on Medication Administration Description (Competency 3j) I have looked over my moral development regarding medicine administration and have noticed there is the need for improved and has been agreed with my mentor to write a piece of reflection to identify areas of concern Feelings One of the major concern is the pace of dispensing and the time spent used to open charts and allocate them is one of my weakness. Although I am learner I need to back up the pace of dispensing so that patient doesn 't feel my skills is dull or boring and waste of time. I Had developed that feeling of being extra careful to avoid drug error and that makes me feel slightly nervous more also being under the influence of supervision as well. Evaluation
Nevertheless, Bria could improve on providing the audience with ethical significance while using the semester’s readings. She used Steve Almond, Frederick Douglass, and Peter Singer in order to address the ethical and moral significance. Although it is commendable to state that she used their theories, she failed to elaborate on how each of these theorist informed her topic. In noting the element of Bria’s speech, little could be written about the theories of each theorist because so little information was given about them and their relevance to her topic. It would benefit Bria to use her arguments from the assigned weekly reflections to help her go more into depth about how these theorists added or subtracted from her
This is a customer service industry and sometimes a dentist may run into those difficult customers that cannot be pleased. Some dentist encounter patients with terrible dental hygiene that can leave one in disgust. The pressure is always on the dentist, they must do their best work within a limited amount of time while keeping the patient satisfied and still manage their business efficiently. Dental insurance plays an important factor in the dental field as well. Sometimes it becomes difficult for a patient to see the dentist because they are low income individuals that can not afford dental care.
This is an important issue that I had witnessed myself. I use to work at a dental office and when new patients come in to get a procedure done, their insurance would not help pay for it. I would have to call their insurance and find out that their old dentist was charging them for procedures that they did not have. Medicare said they would now cover the procedure since the patient supposedly already had it
Direct definitions is “communication that tells us explicitly who we are by directly labeling us and our behaviors” (Wood, Interpersonal Communication: Everyday Encounters). In highschool I wasn’t sure exactly what I wanted to study, but I knew I wanted to do something in the health science field which can be academically challenging so I wasn’t sure if I think I could handle it. Person X would always tell me how smart I am and that I can do anything I set my mind to. By this person using direction definitions to communicate to me really inspired me to attend MCPHS University, because it is so focused on health sciences. Another time direct definitions has affected me is when I was younger, Person A use to always make fun of me and say I was slow, because I would always take my time doing things and making sure everything is right.
In Eritrea typically oral hygiene is very poor, this is often due to the lack of Oral Health Education and inadequacy of professionals to educate the public. Throughout my work experience in Eritrea I saw many patients with poor oral hygiene resulting in periodontal disease and ultimately leading to loss of teeth. This placement inspired me and increased my determination to take this career path, as each time I witnessed patients with such problems I was left feeling very sympathetic and compassionate toward them. When I saw them being treated and relieved from their pain, I was left feeling pleased as I felt this was a great accomplishment this has led me to one day hope to open my own practice in Eritrea. This will allow me to make a change by educating the people on how to maintain good oral hygiene and provide suitable
During the course of volunteering with various service organizations, I have observed discrimination on several occasions. Discrimination and Civil rights are principles that will always be unfinished, not because of a lack of government support, but because of a failure to change the opinion of most Americans. To this day, I find that discrimination is still a concept difficult to explain to a person of Caucasian heritage, for they have not experienced prejudice or a denial of rights. In my opinion, America has not fully embraced or complied with the Civil Rights Act.
Oral surgery has never been a pleasant experience for everyone. But, it is often unavoidable. This is the procedure that some people must take, in order to avoid further problems on their oral health. This is why, many people would consider, “Is there an oral surgeon near me?” This is very normal, because toothaches are terribly painful.
These days, the majority of dentists pay a very serious concern about this problem. They want to make all patients free from any anxious feeling about a dentist room, particularly when they are already sitting on the chair. Nowadays dentists should be glad that they have more options of sophisticated dental chairs with comprehensive equipment that support dentists’ tasks, while assuring patients’ comfort. What criteria that a reliable dental chair should own?
I was not sure about what to write for my journals, I did not want to write more than just my daily duties. I ended up thinking that writing about my perspectives, goals, objectives about my duties at work and the homeless shelter system. I started working at the Aguila INC Shelter, which is my place of work and internship. I started in November 10, 2015 as a Case Manager and it has been a challenging place for me. I did not have the experience, knowledge and I dare to say the educational background that may make me feel more comfortable to work with Homeless Families.
Howdy Ryan! I agree, often people have a misconceptios or are not well informed on how eating disorders are often developed. I myself was ignorant over the matter until reading and listening to our class lecture. One of the best and first treatment options is seeking medical and professional assistants for proper health concerns. Furthermore, having a strong support group and dependable people are part of their recovery.
I was most engaged in this course when I was doing the research for this paper. Filtering through all the research and figuring out what is valuable information was the most exciting part for me. Additionally, finding information and connecting it to a suspect is the most satisfying part of my job. Writing the actual research paper has been the second most engaging thing during this course. It is difficult for me because I know I am not a great writer, but there are improvements in my writing since starting college.
Thankfully, my lengthy preparations for a dental profession were not for naught though, as last year my internal flame for professional dentistry was truly alit by a local Omaha dentist. Shadowing Dr. Beninato, was shadowing experience unlike any other that I had previously witnessed. With preconceived notions and minor experience biasing me away from general dentistry, watching Dr. Beninato manipulate equipment and materials to artfully reconstruction entire sets of teeth utilizing full arch implantation supported bridges triggered a personal epiphany. There I sat watching a master of the dental art, whose occupation as a simple general dentist, unlike the restricted path of orthodontics, had enabled him to elect out of a large array of options, and become highly specialized in fields of interest uniquely his own. Additionally, complementing the ability to specialize, I would come to realize general dentistry possessed an equally important aspect that I adore, the joy and skill of working and building with ones hands, at a level woefully unmatched by the manual dexterity required of
I know over the past semester I have learned what major grammatical errors I should look for that I have made continuously. My research paper made me question my topic and if I should change it or not because of how difficult it was to read. I thought the paper itself was easy to write in general and if I had a different topic I
