Ethnography
We all think of medical physicians and nurses whenever we feel the onset of the slightest cold, but there is another group of professionals that provide us with the medication we need: pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. The main role of a pharmacist is to dispense medication to their patients according to the prescription given. Before this, they must ensure that they dispense the right drugs and make sure the strength and dosage of the medicine are appropriate, as well as ensuring the medication is safe. Pharmacists give advice to their patients in assuring the appropriate use of medications. It is important to tell the patient the name of the drug, what the drug is used for, when to take the drug, how many times per day to take the drug, whether the drug should be taken before meals, the method of taking the drug, and its side effects.

The setting is as diverse as it could possibly be. The pharmacy is made up of a diverse group of people of all ages and ethnicities. Most people would be able to handle the work conditions, as they are very suitable for many different types of people. An occasional irate customer is the most traumatic event they would likely experience.
Being a pharmacist or a pharmacy technician is a very promising career. Keep in mind, there is a difference in the education level between a pharmacist and a pharmacy technician. Pharmacists must have a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.), a 4-year professional degree and they must also be licensed, which requires passing two exams, while pharmacy technicians must have a high school diploma or GED as a prerequisite. Individual schools might have additional requirements. Programs for pharmacy technicians usually range from as little as 15 weeks to if two years, awarding a certificate, diploma or associate
Last semester, I spent most of my weekends working at a pharmacy as a pharmacy technician. My job is not easy because I have to deal with demanding and impatient customers and their insurance company all day. I have worked 9 hours shift without a break. Nevertheless, I love my job. I feel accomplished and satisfied knowing that I helped in the process of improving others’ health.
A pharmacy technician would help licensed pharmacists dispense prescriptions medication to customers or health professionals. Pharmacy technicians work in pharmacies, including those found in grocery and drug stores, and in hospitals. Most work full time, but many work part time. To become a pharmacy technician it usually requires earning a high school diploma
Native Americans Native Americans are very different from other tribes. They eat, live, dress and do many things differently. The things I’m going to be talking about in my interesting paper is What they eat? What they wear? Where they live?

My Ethnomusicological Autobiography Growing up in the South in the early 2000s, I was surrounded by music my family identified with or could relate to. My family would come together every weekend for some barbecue and laughs while gossiping and enjoying music that made them dance or feel good. In black culture a family get together with loved ones, music, and grilled food is called a cookout. A typical cookout would consist of the children playing outside while the men would be around the grill cooking and cracking jokes, and the women would be inside gossiping and preparing the food.

My auto-ethnographic paper will be grounded on a conflict that I have with myself, that has unfortunately been ingrained in my brain since I stepped foot at this institution. I identify as a Canadian born Chinese student, contentedly graduating this year at the University of British Columbia. I often question my positionality in this community as an asian at a predominantly white school that is on the traditional territories of the Aboriginal peoples. I sometimes get apprehensive or uncomfortable, I sometimes feel as if it is too complicated to talk to my white sorority sisters about and I know the conflict I have is also a conflict for many people of color. However, being a GRSJ student has allowed me to explore this in my own comfort in
It requires a lot of repetitive work C. I can see myself working in this setting. My mentor Michael E. Spiller, who graduated from the FAMU COPPS in 1981 is a retail pharmacist. He has made a great life for himself and is happily retired but I see myself being more diverse and going beyond retail. 2. Hospital – in-patient pharmacy A.
From Walgreens to CVS to hospitals such as Barns Jewish and Cardinal Glennon there are a host of jobs depending on skilled and prompt workers. I am one of those with my heart set on a bigger prize in the medical industries. I would like to own my own hospital or drug store and compete with the current business owners that really think they can get more customers than me. One thing I can say my family member’s tell me they say “it’s good to be an pharmacist because I can work at Walgreens or CVS at an early age and have a
Bennington students use the Plan Process to design an education that responds to their individual questions and passions. Please provide a written response that organizes your ideas for your Bennington Plan. (Political) Arts for Healing . I plan to study how meaning can be found and learned in art, particularly how issues pertaining to gender, race, sexuality, and class, manifest themselves in our communities. My hometown and high school seemed apathetic towards social injustices, which was both upsetting and confusing, because how does one easily continue their life knowing their locality is pleading for help?
Ethnographic Detail and Analysis including Literature Review I asked Dennis a total of 16 questions in which he gave me paragraphs and paragraphs of information for each one. While each question builds upon my ethnography, I decided to highlight only a few. The following questions not only answered my research questions but also tied in with existing literature on art museum curation. One of the first questions I asked Dennis was “Do you think that a curator needs to have an artistic background?” For instance, the article I Am A Curator outlines, “The study and practice of curating are still overwhelmingly dependent on borrowing analysis and discourse from other fields of inquiry.”
This essay examines ethnographic issues, questions the ethics of ethnographic research on marginal and island communities. My aim is to quantify the way in which my own research should be carried out from an ethical, sociological and political standpoint. I will be using existing methodologies, primary research and I will use a range of secondary document sources, both formal and informal as well as personal records to illuminate my ethnography of Lord Howe Island (e.g. official documents, documentaries, videos, newspaper and journal articles, government reports, and life histories). This paper attempts to build on Ellis’s (2004) and Anderson (2006) approach to autoethnography ‘that draws upon postmodern sensibilities and whose advocates
The study was conducted among randomly selected 4 tribal villages of Binpur block of Medinipur district of West Bengal. Data were collected through personal interview schedule, observational technique and case study method. The findings of the study revealed that the morbidity and mortality rates due to contagious ecthyma were highest but case fatality was very low. The results indicated that the major cause of mortality was diarrhoea. The age-wise morbidity and mortality rates of goats indicated that the highest mortality was recorded in kids of 0 to 3 months age group followed by young stocks and adults.
I also learned that pharmacy technicians package medications for the nursing home, stock shelves, fill prescriptions, and work in retail pharmacies. I did not know that pharmacy technicians get on the job training while being a student in high school. High school students have
American society is one where more people who openly acknowledge their ego (From the Greek word “I”) by using pronouns like I, my, mine, and me. This does not mean that we lack altruism or lack the capability of helping others, but it rather implies that we put our needs first. However, despite these cost, individualistic societies still have many people who have the means of enjoying themselves. Western societies are very pleasure-driven. Countries with a sense of Individuality feel more socially free, not confined to coarse values.
