The movie and the book “Everything, Everything” are very different when comparing the author and directed decisions. The author included Madeline architecture teacher by having him being the only visitor besides her nurse to grade her projects. In the book Carla states, “MR.WATERMAN’S ON his way up” (page 57) Carla let Madeline know when he was on his way up to check out her architecture project. The director chose that not to happen, the teacher is mention once in the beginning and that's it. When Madeline does her projects in both the movie and the book she includes an astronaut in every project she does. Yet when reading the book Madeline and Olly were messaging each other, the director chose to put Madeline and Olly in the project as a scene of them talking but the author had them texting each other. …show more content…
Madelines nurse let him come over once in the movie, the author had him come over once than again in a few weeks. The director had him come over on the 4th of July because nobody was home. Madeline order new clothes because of Olly she used her mom's card, the director had her get a credit card than order clothes using that. Unlike the director chooses the author had her get the card later. Both, director and author had Madeline buy plane tickets for her and Olly to go to Hawaii with her card. When the get to Hawaii the author had more details, when the got there they had a Cab take then to the hotel. In the book page 195, “ACCORDING TO THE guidebook. Maui is shaped like a head. Our cab ride with take us across the neck, along the jawline, over the chin, mouth, nose, and up to the wide forehead.” On the way they stopped at the ocean, when the got at the hotel the person thought they were in a honeymoon, the room had a pull down bed too. The director chose them drive a jeep to a resort. There was no scene of them checking in and there was no pull down
When dividing the book and movie of Enders Game into sections, we can clearly see that the movie was far more better than the book, at least visually. Not only did the movie show us greater details than the book, it also gave us an idea of what the characters and settings looked like. Some scenes that prove that the movie is richer in quality than the book; is the fight with the buggers at the beginning, the battle room scene with salamander and leopard army, and when Ender goes on the Bugger 's planet to talk to the queen. Let 's begin from the movie with the scene of the bugger 's invasion. At the beginning of the movie, we see the Formics ' (buggers) attacking Earth.
In the book they started with Max in daycare at a very young age and it talks about why he is called a kicker and how he first met Freak but in the movie Max firsts meets Freak when he moves in next door. I think that background information is important and that cutting it out can make you feel less connected to the characters. The order of events was pretty much the same but some events changed. By this I mean things like the basketball scenes because in the book Max couldn’t play sports but in the movie Max and Freak are perceived as the best players on the team. I like the book better overall because it is more realistic and has a ton more detail.
Ender’s Game is a story about this kid named Ender who goes to battle school to train to fight these aliens who have invaded Earth once but the people won that time. However the aliens have come back to try to invade Earth once and for all. So Ender is getting ready for war at battle school. Ender’s Game has two different ways to tell this amazing story, a book and a movie. While the book and the movie tell the same story they do have some differences and similarities and that is what we will be discussing today.
The incredible journey that changed their point of view. The Incredible Journey and the movie Homeward bound: The Incredible Journey were very inspirational. The Book was the tail of two dogs and a cat travel across Canada to try and find Luaths master and go home. In the movie they were on a journey but the events are a little different. They are very similar, but they differ in characters, setting, and adventures.
Ender's Game was actually written by a person named Peter Wiggen who was obsessed with ruling the world? Well that's completely false information, actually, Peter Wiggen was one of the main characters in the book Ender's Game who also wanted to rule the world. Basically the story Ender's game is about a third born child in a world where only two were allowed. He was chosen at age six to partake in military training to make him a commander. This training was all to prepare him for the final battle against an alien species called the Formics (also known as the buggers).
In the beginning of the book Mary was stuck in a room with no windows and never got outside, but in the movie she was allowed out of her room and did go outside to play. I thought that the movie did a better job with this then the book did. The book just kind of said this and then moved on with the story. The movie gave a little bit more detail on the subject. Her parents died by a large earthquake in the movie, but in the book they both died along with other people in their kingdom from cholera, and that is why Mary had to go stay with her uncle Mr. Craven.
Video surveillance also captured the two leaving the restaurant in the Toyota Rav 4 that they had rented for the weekend. However, the windows of the car were tinted so it was impossible to tell who was in the car and if there were more than just the couple (Johnson).
When you read a book, the characters and the action are formed in your mind as you read. When you watch a film, the characters and the action are already formed for you and you watch with your eyes. Which is the better way to experience a story? Ender’s Game is the story of the future world preparing to defend itself against an invasion by aliens known as Buggers. Earth had defeated the Buggers twice before but knew they would attack again in the future.
Ender's Game novel written by Orson Scott Card in 1985. In 2013 the made it into a movie Director Gavin Hood. The movie Ender's Game based on the novel, but they are not completely the same. There are similarities in these two works of art. However, there are also differences.
Ender’s Game Being a regular high school student, I shocked myself because the fact that I actually decided to read a book at home from class without being forced to should be breaking news on CNN. Ender Wiggin was an intelligent child specifically selected into the IF with the possibility of being the new commander of the third invasion of the buggers. Ender was on a different path as the other students, the adults of the school wanted a lot out of Ender, which brought tons of emotion out of Ender from the adults, Bonzo, Valentine, and especially Peter. The book was better than the movie even though the movie could show emotion through a screen I still think it was quite bland and there was more emotion and hardship represented in the book than the movie.
And, details were added and deleted in the transition from the book to movie
Stephen King, a famous writer once said, “Books and movies are like apples and oranges. They are both fruit, but they taste completely different.” Truly, this applies to all movies and books. This quote is effective describing the novel and the movie, A Raisin in the Sun. Although the two share similar scenes and acts, the movie shows a lot more details which make it better.
No matter how hard directors and screenwriters try, it is impossible for any movie to be a perfect reflection of the detailed plot and intricate characters presented in a novel. I had watched the film adaption of Richard Matheson’s I Am Legend prior to reading the book, I was very aware of major differences from the get go. The to main categories that I could see differences being placed in were emotion and action. Many aspects of the book were changed to emphasize both either emotion or action for the film. Considering pieces of literature cannot be easily transferred to the screen, few of these changes were very necessary.
The Notebook The well known romantic story, “The Notebook,” written by the novelist, Nicholas Sparks, portrays two people falling in love during the 1940s. The book was written in 1996 and the movie was released in 2004. Nicholas Sparks was inspired by a real life couple and that is why the movie is so realistic. The main characters Noah Calhoun and Allie Hamilton are played by popular young actors, Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams. Though the book and movie are based on the same love story, they have many differences, some minor and some major.
Books vs. Movies The constant battle between watching a movie and reading a book has lead to many disagreements. Many valid arguments can be made in favor of each as well as each having it’s own disadvantages, yet the question still remains unanswered. Books and movies have many similarities and differences when it comes to experience, development, and imagery. To begin, there are a variety of reasons that make movies not as good as books. The experience, the depth, and the imagery are the three main aspects one needs in order to understand why movies are not as good as books.
