He important A book used by Western University in there DPT that discusses the tools needed and used to learn about philosophy, history, and importance of evidence-based practice. It’s a major contributor to the PT field and has several main points in the book. It has workout sheets that will help with the learning process. This book is used a lot during a student’s career during field study and lab work. Its main focus points is manual muscle test and evaluation. Professionals such as doctors, nurses, physical therapists, athletic trainers and personal trainers use this book to search a specific muscle in the body to find a correct test to evaluate a particular muscle. Each chapter offers an expanded treatment and exercise sections to be able to evaluate personal injuries or pains suffered from training. Each chapter goes over a particular section of the body starting out with chapter one being about posture to the last chapter being lower extremities. It explains each muscles purpose, preforming test and proper treatment of each muscle and muscle group. The led author Florence Kendall dedicated 75 years of her life and played a major role in drafting the original bill that was enacted into law.
