In Tulsa Burning by “Anna Myers” there are a lot of characters that are both flat and round. If you did not know already, a flat character is a character that throughout the story they only show one trait or side and a round character is characters that have many sides and grow and change throughout the story. Isaac at the beginning of the book is a kind African American who is Nobe’s best friend. One day, Nobe received a beating from his father and went down to the river to cool off. Isaac had also gone down to the river but he came down there to fish. On that day Nobe became Isaac’s best friend and they continued to be best friends.
