Batman is one of the most well-known superheroes in popular culture, and the archetype of the detective is a significant part of his character. In the novel Batman: Nightwalker by Marie Lu, the detective archetype is explored in detail, alongside the archetype of darkness. These archetypes serve to show that it is essential to be careful with who you trust, as the truth is not always clear.
The detective archetype is embodied in Batman himself, as he uses his intellect and deductive skills to solve crimes and bring criminals to justice. However, in Nightwalker, the reader sees how Batman's trust in his own abilities is tested when he is manipulated by a criminal mastermind known as the Nightwalker. The Nightwalker is a master of deception, and it takes all of Batman's skills to unravel the truth and expose the criminal's true motives.

Literary theory can be used to lead readers into understanding the texts' different meanings. In Marie Lu’s Batman: Nightwalker, the reader is shown coming of age through the struggles with loss, sense of purpose, and vulnerability during his maturing process. The hero archetype pairs well with the antagonist's temptress character archetypes as well as the tower symbolic archetype help illustrate the novel's theme of coming of age.
Zootopia makes a point to let us know that predators are the minority and predators are the only ones “going savage” as a result of the Night Howler serum (even though it could potentially affect both prey and predator). While it is not stated exactly state which minority the predators are, it is fairly clear that we are talking about African Americans. In the beginning of the movie, it is shown that nick is denied service at an ice cream parlor because he is a fox, a predator. The police force also has tension with predators the same way they do in real life, as in a predator is just more likely to get in trouble with the police because of race profiling. The story is set in a dystopian society where people are divided into castes based on their color. The protagonist, Darrow, is a Red who lives in a society where Reds are the lowest caste and are forced to mine beneath the surface of Mars for the benefit of the Golds, the highest caste. In Batman: Nightwalker by Marie Lu she does a good job showing that people influenced by bad decisions can lead to chaos. Marie Lu uses character, situational, and symbolic archetypes to convey the idea that people are easily manipulated into making bad decisions that can lead to chaos.

Its starts off with him showing us Dian and her work. Throughout the movie it shows how the main character gets too involved with her work that she loses everything, including her life; But all for the good of the gorillas.

He willingly endures physical and emotional pain, understanding that his own well-being is secondary to the greater good. In the novel, we see a young Bruce Wayne seeking guidance from his trusted butler, Alfred, as well as the city's chief of police, Captain Gordon.
