Archetypes
Winnie the Pooh is one of the many classic children's stories that have entertained children from all over the world. I grew up listening to my mother read the many different stories from the books, and also watching the movies and television shows religiously. Ever since I was a little girl, my favorite Winnie the Pooh character has been Tigger. Tigger is a fun-loving, energetic stuffed tiger, who is always bouncing around the Hundred Acre Woods. Tiger is my favorite character because, I love that he is always optimistic about himself, even though it may sometimes come off as arrogant, he is always positive about himself and his abilities.

However the one thing I learned was, my close-other relationship saw me as above average in disagreeableness. This relationship happens to be my husband, who usually agrees with me on most topics. This is information that I will use to learn about my husband as well as myself. Like the subjective world I earlier talked about, I tend to enjoy the world as I have come to see it. I enjoy the world I see with positive and supportive people, people who want to work hard and better themselves and their communities. Although I still have some down falls and qualities that I need to improve in my life, overall I like the person I have become. I take pride in my accomplishments I have achieved thus far, and I am excited to continue the goals I am currently pursuing. I have surrounded myself and my family with positive relationships, and receive the emotional support needed to continue my journey in life. After completing this project I have come to realize that I am overall content with the person that I am, but I would like to take the information I have learned from this experience and use it to better myself as person even more. I know I can let some of the negative emotions affect my personality such as stress, anxiety, and fear. These are personality traits that cannot be completely eliminated, but I would like to improve on these down falls in my life. Mental Battles at Sea 227. The number of days Pi survived at sea with little food, little water and, even a Bengal Tiger..or so he thought. Life of Pi, written by Yann Martel, describes the journey of a young boy named Piscine Patel, also known as Pi, whose father owns a zoo in India. When his family decides to sell the zoo and move to Canada, the freighter they travel in breaks down and sinks. Luckily, Pi gets on a life boat just in time but weirdly enough, with four zoo animals who were also in the freighter.
Within literature, there are a multitude of archetypes which appear in varied bodies of work; Archetypes are recurring symbols, attitudes, plot lines, or characters that appear within reading material. Upon examination, “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” by Dr. Seuss is one fine example of a body of literature that contains archetypes. One of the most evident archetypes is the Villain character who is, in this case, the Grinch. The Grinch detests Christmas and the people who enjoy; as a result, he devises to steal Christmas and ruin the day for all the whos’ in Whoville.
Character Archetypes In the Wizard of Oz, Dorothy was accompanied by a hunting group of companions on her journey to the Emerald City. Her companions consisted of Tin Man, Scarecrow, and Cowardly Lion, who were loyal and willing to face hardships and ordeals in order to stay together. All wanting seemingly unattainable things, they came along to meet the Wizard of Oz.
There are many examples in life of two people who are close having their relationship challenged due to a lover coming between them. This was on display throughout the book, Like Water for Chocolate. Though Tita is caring and protective of her sister, she also becomes scared of loneliness and jealous of her sister’s marriage to Pedro. Like Water for Chocolate, by Laura Esquivel, follows the story of Tita, the youngest daughter in a family who cannot marry and must care for her mother and nephew due to family tradition. In the novel, several characters represent the “lover” archetype which creates a rivalry between Tita and her sister Rosaura, who becomes the “jealous wife”.

Finding Nemo was an adventure and comedy film, that taught the world the importance of teamwork, collaboration, and cooperation to everyday life. Archetypes are used in many films, movies, and/or books to help both enhance and advance the audiences/readers understanding of the story.

Textual composers use literary archetypes as a vehicle to represent society's attitudes and values, particularly those that have changed throughout the years and those that are still evident in society today. Through the comparison of the classic 'Snow White' Grimm's novel, director Tarsem Singh's 2012 Snow White adaptation 'Mirror Mirror' and Matt Phelan's 2016 Snow White graphic novel, we can analyse how character archetypes have changed throughout time, featuring similar characters in three vastly different adaptations of the fairy-tale, Snow White. Character archetypes represent society's ideals of different genders, roles and various individuals that each have personal attitudes and goals throughout the tale that carry the story. Different
Unlikely heroes, what comes to mind, maybe Sully from Monsters Inc, Carl Fredricksen from Up, or even Lightning McQueen from Cars. Flashback fifty years and that's when Atticus Finch from To Kill a Mockingbird, written by Harper Lee, showed what that archetype is really about. Throughout the book his son, Jem, and daughter, Scout, learn important lessons about racism, courage, and how to treat people. Atticus defends a Negro throughout the course of the book which in result, shocks the rest of the Maycomb community.
Good and evil isn’t anything new in our present generation, The Victorian Era is no exception. In Robert Louis Stevenson’s mystery novella, Dr. Jekyll Mr. Hyde, archetypes are to depict good and evil. The Author uses nature to set the mood.. Milne included the themes of adventure and imagination because the story was written for his son Christopher Robin Milne. Many children and adults across the world have fallen in love with the connection between Christopher Robin and his best friend Winnie-the-Pooh. Alan Alexander Milne was born in London, England on January 18, 1882, he was the youngest of three boys David Barrett Milne, Kenneth John Milne. He was raised by his parents Sarah Marie and John Vine Milne, the headmaster of a private school named Henley House.
Rick Grimes Vs Shane Walsh The Walking Dead TV series is a great show with well developed characters. Two of the main characters in the first few seasons are Rick Grimes and Shane Walsh. They are a part of a large group fighting to survive the zombie apocalypse in the south, battling not only the undead but other survivors as well. The first few seasons begin to show holes in the group, and how Rick and Shane are different.
Death, sacrifice, love, nearly every story has them, but what else do they have in common? Nearly everything! Every story created is composed of the same ingredients, yet somehow, the stories still captivate their audiences. One would think the use of such elements repeatedly would eventually become monotonous, but in fact, it actually entices people to read. One reason for this is the story is in the nature of a cake.
Winnie the Pooh is a story that portrays various characters that are presented as animals with human characteristics. A. A. Milne anthropomorphizes the animal characters in Winnie the Pooh for many reasons retaining to children. The author does this because children are much more fond of animals. Authors use anthropomorphism to trigger children’s imagination and to teach children aspects of life and values. Authors do this not only to entertain but also to enhance the understanding of concepts and values.
My Identity Defined My Identity is a collaboration of the other people who have had an impact on me, as well as the experiences I have undergone and endured so far in my life.. My heritage and ethnicity influences me to an extent, but it does not necessarily define me. I consider my identity to be how I see myself and what strengths I posses. I have produced the identity I hold, and outside forces have only positively influence me and helped to better myself as a person.
