Many people think the government fully stops people from having attachment because of their restrictions. People don’t usually go outside and stay in doors. Today I’m going to be talking about the similarities to our society and the society of Fahrenheit 451 and they are more alike than you would think. For example their world deals with the problem of people burning books and houses we did the same thing. This means that we are just like them in the fact that we have burned books and even people on occasion. We also have some advanced technology just like theirs.

Fahrenheit 451 is very different from modern day society. In fahrenheit 451, the firemen go to people 's houses when they get a call that someone has books. Firemen rush to their houses and they search for the book’s if they find any they burn the books as well as the house because they don 't know if there’s anymore hidden “The whole house is going up said beatty”. Fahrenheit 451 porches are illegal, as well they 're not allowed to have their books out in the open and if they do and if anyone even spots them their house goes up in flames.

These people drive very fast, lack basic social skills, and are forbidden from reading books. After meeting an inquisitive young lady name Ckairessem the protagonist, Guy Montag, begins to question the society he lives in, and begins to wonder what books have to offer. Guy is a fireman, but instead of putting out houses on fire, he burns books that are found in people’s possession because all houses in this society have been fireproofed. Because of his profession, he was easily able to get his hands on a number of books that he would later explore.

Fahrenheit 451 is a book of warning. It is a reminder that we need knowledge to survive, and we need people who crave this knowledge to take over in generations to come. We need knowledge to combat ignorance and we get this knowledge from reading books and listening to other people's opinions. It is a warning of what might happen if we were to let the ignorance win, and a warning to never let this happen. It is a warning that what we have is valuable and a reminder to never take that for granted.
In Fahrenheit 451, the government basically Controls wan at the people watch, read, and discuss. They have blocked so much from the people that no one knows what's really going on in its day and age. People in real like get most of their knowledge and understanding from novels, newspapers, and etc. Since in the novel the government has burned and taken those away, society had nothing to base their knowledge and ideas off of. Since they have no knowledge kids in that age do chaotic things like race with their cars, mailbox smashing, pumpkin tossing, and some kill one another.

Commentary #4. The most important theme of Fahrenheit 451 is restriction of freedom of speech because of the fear to offend another person in the society. There are strict censorship laws in the totalitarian society of Fahrenheit 451. In the novel the job of a fireman is to start a fire and watch the forbidden literature burn, these firemen had never read the books they burn nor were they all allowed to keep one for more than 24 hours.
