Censorship is the reason for messed up societies in today's world. In the book Fahrenheit 451 Montag struggles with the reality of censorship. He does not understand why the government prohibits the reading of books and other everyday things. He rebels, faces consequences, and is forced to run away from what he knows and has learned his whole life.
