As we pull up to the parking area at the start of the trails, I knew that our excitement during the long drive was worth it. I had planned this trip for months. Toiled over the minor details; the food, shelter, entertainment, parking pass, you name it. This was something I had wanted to do since I was just a little kid and now that I was here, it felt surreal. The sound of nature all around us, no signs of man besides our canoe and gear for as far as I could see.
That place became part of who I was. I went there even in the winter to play with the snow, shoe skate on the creek after it froze, or build snowmen. During winter my town and my park was still such an amazing place to be. My trees had branches full of white snow. The grass and most of the animals were gone for the winter, also the rock I would sit on was cold and hard to sit on, but was still a peaceful place to
A couple of years ago we went to Disney World. I went with my mom, dad, and my sister. We went to Downtown Disney, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Epcot. Traveling to Disney was very fun. We went to Hudson so my Uncle could give us a ride to the city's.
The water is a bit chilly for our liking, but that did not stop us. It seemed like the perfect day for a ride on the river; 3 kids dreaming big, and thought that nothing would ever happen to us. Until July 12th of 2014, sunny and 75 with our life jackets sitting next to us in the canoe thinking we would be fine.I It was a normal day and Macey wanted us over because back then during the long summer days, boredom would set in. We are about 12 years old and someone had this great idea to go canoeing on the river. Usually we go kayaking, but this time we wanted to go all together in Macey’s neighbors canoe.
Second we were supposed to get on good terms with Native American tribes, and we only got on good terms with a few. Lastly, collect information about animal, plants, and landscape, which we did. This adventure was once in a lifetime experience , and I had so much
Over the holidays, a family member of mine hosts a Christmas party/gathering every year and we play some games along with prizes for a winner, we all have conversations on anything that comes to mind, its always a good time when all of us gather. I enjoy the decorating because it gives me something to do, and it puts me in a good mood an I feel really good. Another thing, the house feels more alive with all kinds of decorations and its always sad to take them all down. Lastly, I enjoy having the food during Christmas, the ham, the turkey, the veggies, the potatoes, and the bread, I get to enjoy all of these foods at least two times or more depending if I 'm invited to my other family members Christmas
My big backyard consisted of many fruit trees and a grape vine, it was where I had bonfires with my family and friends, and it was where I ran free with my brother. I had a pond, “over the hill” as my brother and I would say, where we swam and fished in the summertime and sat on the deck feeding bread to the bluegill as we had conversations about life. Behind our pond was where thousands of trees stood tall and where we roamed every inch of the hidden land. In the woods, we explored deer trails that made their way to the very back to a beautiful creek that ran through the thicket. There were small waterfalls flowing down and a water hole we would jump in for fun.
The minute I reached the lake I felt a sense of isolation as I realized that I would be stuck in this unappealing country. I climbed out of the car and explored the campsite. The shoreline was scattered with the occasional skeleton of a fish that was unlucky enough to be caught by
Who cares, I'll find a nice little island and live there for the rest of my life hunting. That's all I want to do- hunt. I decided to explore the boat. I opened a few compartments and found a few things: gloves, a gun, and glasses. How lucky did I get?
It wasn’t to calm but it had just the right number of waves. I then proceeded to the water sports office and I paid to ride a jet ski. At first I was afraid, but I was always interested in doing new exhilarating things. The tour guide showed me how to operate the jet ski. My jet ski experience was like a little child learning to ride a bicycle for the first time by just taking it one step at a time.
