They can expand your interests and passions or you can even find new ones!. Student clubs and organizations are another obvious resource on campus, get involved and pick a club or an organization you are interested in. One of the most important resources on campus is the academic and counseling services if you need any help with an academic or a personal problem they would be eager to assist you. Another resource everyone can use is sports teams, surrounding yourself with people who enjoy the same sport as you do can help forge new relationships that can overcome difficult challenges, celebrate meaningful victories and get you to the day of graduation. I am an outsider. Not an outsider as in creepy, but I usually stay to myself. All of my years of school have usually dwelt upon myself. The reason why, I was the kid in class that actually wanted to learn. However, most of my peers did not.
My mother and father have always wanted the best for me, like all good parents do. One of the many things that they expect from me is to receive a college education, something that they never had the chance to do. My parents always advise me to not to make the same mistakes as they did, to go to college so I can get a good job and not have to struggle in my life. With no alternative, my father had to drop out of school to help his family financially after his parents had gotten a divorce, and then he had received his GED.

There are many leading factors on why people might not go to college. Some reasons may include: financial aspects of college, the tests you must take to get in, or just having no desire to go to college. Currently I am a high school senior and I have been given the option to go to college. I am trying to figuring out what I want to spend my life doing.
Going to college is probably one of the most important things that I have done in my life so far. Thinking back to everything I have done in the past ten years or so, I can see that taking to leap of faith to join college and further my education was such a huge step for me and I am glad that I did. August 14th, the day when it really hit me that I would be moving into college in one week. Up until that point I was really really excited! Although I was still excited the nerves started to kick in, I felt that I was not prepared to start a whole new chapter of my life and that there was still so many things that I needed to do, so honestly I started to panic a little bit, but that is just between me and you, no one else knew that I was stressing so bad. The Monday before move in day comes and now I realize that I seriously need to start getting ready, so finally I start packing everything in my room to make sure that I do not forget anything, but at the same time I have no clue what to pack seeing as this is my first time ever packing for college. The day finally gets here, move in day, all at the same time I am nervous, excited, sad and happy.
Most community college students have a life outside their school life. Some may have more priorities than others, but they still have to pay for things, manage time, and most work at least a minimum of ten hours . There are many students that don 't return for the second year at a community college for many reasons, but the main reason is that many community college students have experienced debt. Which leads to why many first time Community College students don 't return for the second year due to money issues. First, many community college students have to work several hours while going to school.
The first half of this semester was swift and I can’t believe how fast it passed by. College is a whole new world for me that I had never imagined with a lot of new experiences that I hope will shift me into a better and smarter person. There are more things I can do in college that I would have never dared to do in high school and I am happy for these new freedoms. I am able to eat in class, leave class without asking and they don’t care if I pay attention or not.
