Who has inspired you in your life and why?
When we talk of the word “Inspiration”, a lot of complicated and diverse thoughts come floating into the mind. We immediately launch into the flashback of life and try to remember the most inspirational person or group of people we’ve met. The problem, however, arises if we have to decide which one has been the “Single Most” inspirational person or people. Towards this end, and to contemplate on my own life’s inspiration, I am reminded of a quote that read “Be somebody who makes everybody feel like a somebody”. What is means really, in my view is that a true inspiration is one that doesn’t only impress you, surprise you or make you want to emulate them, but one that makes you realize your own hidden potentials and has you question and confront your shortcomings and tide over those.

These can be people, events or acts .But true inspiration is one that challenges you at many levels. That of physical, mental and may be, spiritual. One that challenges your thought process and changes the way you thought of a person or a circumstance. I too, like all of us, have been inspired by quite a few people in my life. Personally, I would keep the parents away from this because all parents are inspirations. They do great things for their children taking a lot of hardships, but that is the way God created us. Now parents ourselves ,it’s easy to imagine that the love , sacrifice and the indomitable spirit of putting children first is a virtue that comes with parenthood. I do not want to take away anything from all the parents out there, certainly not because I myself am a parent, but I certainly think that there are other examples of people who have encountered and defeated defeat itself and have done wonderful, seemingly impossible things that can continue to inspire people of all ages for many years to
Have you ever feel motivate from someone? Some people struggle to find motivation in life because they want to be someone in life. They want to find a possible to keep going and change their life to be better, they want to prove that no matter the background they came from to be successful in life. When I read the story “from Bullet to Blue Sky” by Yesenia de Jesus, it reminded why I am here to be someone in life. My mom was my inspiration, she is the reason why I am in colleges, and she motive me to work hard for my goals and to be
Pioneer War Nurse Clara Barton began as a school teacher and later became a War Heroine. She has been an important influence on my life because she managed to earn equal pay (with her male coworkers) and enter battlefields inspite of her inability to vote. She her nursed her brother back to health, and began teaching at the age of 15. Clara Barton was a shy person yet she accomplished so much. She encourages me to be the best version of me.
What exactly inspires people to create great things? Because they are doing it for their own benefit. In the novella written by Ayn Rand titled, Anthem, Equality 7-2521 is motivated to experiment and discover, but not because he is intending to assist his brothers and all of the population. Equality, although he had hoped to join the Home of the Scholars, works as a street sweeper trapped in a collectivist society where all of forms of individuality are banned. At the beginning of the story, Equality discovers a secret, underground tunnel where he slowly starts to discover technologies from the unmentionable times.

The quote “To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment” by Ralph Waldo Emerson, can be lived by many people in the world. For example Albert Einstein, Martin Luther King Jr. and Haley Schmutz all live by this quote. Albert Einstein lived by the quote “ To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment” by Ralph Waldo Emerson because was a different thinker. Einstein was a different kind of thinker than others because thinking outside the box was one of him many differences than others.(Anderson 23).

Equality is something people want till people actually have it. Equality often limits a person’s abilities and disables to do something for themselves or inspire themselves. Equality's, the main character in the book Anthem, the primary motivation is proving that he is smart enough to become a scholar. Equality has a right to be motivated in this way since he believes that he can help the society so he is giving into the collectivism. I think that if everyone was motivated in this way, there would be a more progressive society where people sought to improve themselves and society at the same time.
The obstacles that Douglass and Malala had to overcome are what inspired me. They inspired me because despite all the dangers, they continued to fight for their own education and others education and eventually became voices of many others. I can relate a little bit to each of their story because also pushed through some struggles, when it came to applying to college. Those struggles are the reason why I became inspired to help undocumented students like myself.
As a young minority male with two African-born parents who received zero education, acceptations were high at a young age. When I was five years old I attended PS 156 elementary school. The school had poor academic grades and eventually shut down after receiving a F. I always managed to maintain mostly As and was consistently top of my classes. I loved school and hated to see it end. When I was in fourth grade I maintained a high grade even though it was sort of a middle school atmosphere.
“You cannot push anyone up the ladder unless he be willing to climb a little himself.” Andrew Carnegie said this meaning that you cannot force someone to become successful unless they are willing to become successful themselves. Andrew Carnegie lived this quote out by always trying to succeed in all of his businesses, not waiting for someone to help him and succeed for him. Andrew Carnegie impacted society by apart of different companies, being apart of the steel industry, and his life accomplishments or even the money he would give to charity. Carnegie’s accomplished many things in life and lost many things, Carnegie was born to a handloom weaver in Dunfermline Scotland, on November 25, 1835.
One person that I admire is Sandra Lee she came from a very humble home and because her unstable status of life she was able to find her passion. The Mindset “Although people may differ in every which way- in their initial talents and aptitudes, interests, or temperaments- everyone can change and grow through application and experience.” Does the people that an individual is surrounded by have an impact on someone developing a growth mindset? For years people have been wondering why people think and act differently from each other. In the article “The Mindsets,” Carol Dweck talks about two different types of mindsets that she has studied for thirty years.
Steve Jobs was fired from his own company, Nelson Mandela spent 27 years in prison, Steven Spielberg was rejected from USC of Cinematic Arts, twice, and Stanley Yelnats overcame a curse, and made a good friend who shaped him as a bold, loyal, and stronger person/friend. I get that you are probably wondering what do all of those people have in common. Well they all have overcame a challenge/failure, by trying to keep their heads up all of the time and stay faithful. During their journey, their attitudes all her changed for the better during their ride to success, not letting obstacles push them down. Through Zero’s influence of friendship, Stanley changed from shy/timid and weak, to bold and strong.
It is pretty hard to unpack the influences in my life that have made me into the person I am today in a two-page paper. However, after thinking about it for a long time I could see a pattern of certain influences that kept coming up when I thought about who I am today and what made me into the person I am. After several unsuccessful attempts to rank the influences based on importance I decided merge them into two major themes. If I was to tell a complete stranger what the source of my skills, principles, and attitudes were; I would have to say they are attributed to my family and my extracurricular activities. These may seem like 2 very broad categories, but at the end of the day they are what shaped me into the person I am today.
My mom is my best friend, my sister, and my mom; I tell her everything and she tells me everything! I am so thankful I have such a strong relationship with my mom, because some people do not have a mother figure in their life at all. My mom is my modern day hero because of her strength, generosity, and confidence. The first characteristic that makes my mom my modern day hero, is her strength.
