Odysseus is NOT Our Savior Odysseus is not a hero in the Epic Poem “The Odyssey,” by Homer. I believe this because he is the reason all of his men were killed, he surrounded himself with people who were less intelligent than him, and he was not able to resist his inner feelings towards everything that he was tempted by. Many consider him to be one of the greatest heroes of all time but I strongly disagree with that. This essay will hopefully help you to understand that Odysseus is NOT our savior.
