The movie Black Swan (2010) does a tremendous job demonstrating the symptoms of schizophrenia and how someone can quickly lose control over their life. This movie was wonderful in showing the dysfunctional relationship of Nina and Erica by revealing the emotional, physical, and psychological control over her daughter. It was surprising to see that her mother was also suffering from a mental illness such as a narcissistic personality as the movie shows that she is infatuated with painting herself. She wants to be the center of attention of Nina and be the only one in her life.
