This research is done by Mahesh S Raisinghani, Hung Ette, Roger Pierce, Glory Canon, and Prathima Daripaly on 2005. The title for this research is the concepts, tools, and applications of six sigma. In this research, six sigma methodology was the model that used to investigate how six sigma can relates to some of the quality initiatives in industry. The quality initiatives here means the quality of the products which the supply chain management focused. This six sigma methodology was introduced by Motorola company in many years ago where they facing some of the problems, reduction in productivity and so the business profit due to the cost of non-quality for their products. It requires the extensive training on the talented people in the organization as this six sigma method is quite complex as compared to other quality management activities. The research showed that employees who trained with six sigma have showed a good ability in solving problem and achieve the best results in their daily performance. The method they used to tackle each problem is taken from a standard methodology but is tailored for each different project assigned in hand. This six sigma significantly not only make the process more robust which increase the newness of the parts but less likely to subject to make errors in the process.
