The grass was covered with a thick layer of fresh powder of snow. The trees were covered with some snow on top of the tree branches. The truck with a snow plow was going up the street in my neighborhood clearing the streets and dropping salt to melt the ice. I open the door and feel the temperature outside and it was cold outside. Not the little cute snowflakes you see on TV while watching your favorite holiday movies, but lots of snow. It was the kind of snow that is unimaginable at least to me, at that time of my life. I have never seen it snow before, and as the cold white snow blows along the road and sticks to the window I holler oh my God.

The Grinch Who Stole Christmas The Grinch who stole Christmas is one of my favorite Dr. Seuss books and one of my favorite Christmas movies. I found 3 things similar to one another in the book and the movie which had the Grinch who hated Christmas, the Who’s who loved Christmas, and the Grinch stole all of the presents and food. One identical thing I found in the movie and book was that the Grinch hated Christmas. If they didn’t put the Grinch’s hate for Christmas in both the book and, he would have no reason to steal Christmas and it wouldn’t have been a very good movie.

Everyone cheered and clapped as I blew out the candles. An enormous pile of presents of different sizes were place on a rectangular table. One by one, I open the gifts. Clothes, posters, shoes, etc. I thanked everyone and I thought on my mind, it wasn’t necessary to buy gifts for me.

Looking for Change Hurts Many film and literature characters fail to leave an impact on the reader. This is not the case for Charles Dickens’ character Ebenezer Scrooge from A Christmas Carol and Frank Capra’s creation of a character, George Bailey from It’s a Wonderful Life. Both protagonists are beloved characters, but have drastic similarities and differences. Ebenezer Scrooge and George Bailey are best compared by their outlook on life, time spent with the spirits, and each character’s transformation in the story.

On Christmas morning, my sister always wakes me up. Her anticipation of the day keeps her from snoozing, so she is always the first to rise. We are not allowed to come downstairs until my parents give us the “ok.” They would give us permission to come downstairs as soon as they were prepared with their recording devices and a cup of coffee.
