Initially, I have well-created communication aptitudes that have ended up being exceptionally useful over the span of my work in the health and social care environment. Now, it merits specifying the way that communication abilities helped me to set up positive relations with clients and give them health care as well as with advising administration. Additionally, my hypothetical information in health and social care were likewise critical qualities that helped me to perform effectively. My hypothetical information laid the ground for the improvement of viable aptitudes and experience. In addition to this, the improvement of my professional abilities over the span of my work was encouraged by my hypothetical learning in the field of health and social
This is how this chapter could help me in English class and how it can make it difficult for for others, including myself
Upon arriving to Miami Dade College, you will never imagine all the resources offered to students to succeed during their scholastic years. I’ve been lucky enough to been advised by some of the best staff at their Interamerican campus. From their advisement office to their profoundly knowledgeable professors. As a current student of ENC1102, we were required to attend one section with a tutor at the writing center. I always thought I had sufficient knowledge of the English language and taking time out of my busy schedule to attend a section with a tutor was absurd.
In the novel Eats, Shoots, and Leaves, Lynne Truss imparts on readers the importance of grammar. In a humorous way, she emphasizes that incorrect grammar has the potential to dramatically alter the meaning of a passage. By shooting down common misconceptions about grammar, she advocates for grammar sticklers across the nation. Truss uses rhetorical strategies such as similes, anecdotes and exaggeration to get her point across while entertaining the reader.
During my years of being a scholar most of my writings have come mainly from research papers. My teachers would either assign a research topic or you could choose your own. Sometimes we even got readings or books that we would have to read and write a paper on. This past semester I took English 1001 and typed papers I had never learned to do before and I also learned how to do an annotated bibliography. These papers were papers like visual and rhetorical analysis.
Understanding English helps immigrants find better jobs, reducing poverty and increasing the nation’s economy. Upon immigration to any country, one of the first things one must do is find a job. However, if one cannot speak the language of their new country, many employers find it disadvantageous to hire foreigners who are not English proficient. In Blackwell 's article “English Should Be America’s Official Language” he says that “[people] who can speak English can compete for better jobs, with better pay,” as they have one of the most basic skills required for most jobs in America (par. 10). In fact, some employers are even requiring their employees to only speak English while on the job.

Cultural Awareness Being that America is a huge melting pot for a number of different cultures, establishing a sense of cultural awareness is even more important now, than it has been in past years. America is one of the most diverse countries overall. Being culturally aware will allow for an individual to be sensitive to the needs and requirements to respect individuals that may be of a different race, culture, or religion. In order to be culturally aware you must first know what culture is defined as.
As an applicant for the Law and Public Service Program I know that the qualities of a great student extremely self-motivated, a strong work ethic, effective time management strategies, analytical skills, and verbal skills. Even though I may not have all of these qualities I can say that self-motivation, work ethic, and time management are three quality I possess and take very seriously not only when I am in an educational environment but also when I have to get things done outside of school. Self-motivation is the ability to encourage yourself to achieve your goals, individually. Self-motivation is a quality I have to use everyday. Whether it's completing homework, studying, applying to high school, etc I am able to remind myself of the importance of working hard, which is one of the reasons I stay motivated and show my best effort in all aspects of my life.

Self-reflections on communication skills It is inescapable to have interpersonal conflict in any relationships and situations. (Solomon&Theiss, 2013) Yet, we should be able to handle conflicts with skills. Regarding the conflict I encountered, there are some communication skills I should have known and
This includes the capacity to express thoughts clearly and persuasively both orally and in writing, articulate opinions, communicate coherent instructions and motivate others through speech. In an increasingly technology enabled workplace, both offline and online communication skills are equally important. This means that workers must be able to communicate professionally and confidently through email, social media, video conferencing, as well as face to face interactions. In the future workplace, workers can expect to face complex, multidisciplinary problems and engage in highly networked collaborations. Thus, one must demonstrate the ability to work effectively with a diverse team and assume shared responsibility for collaborative work to accomplish a common
) Abstract Since women have started to become involved in competitive work field, important differences between men and women have emerged. It is clear that men have the more prominent roles in the work environment. Noticeably, men have the majority in science, academia and high-ranking job positions. I believe that everyone, at least once, has asked the following question to herself/himself: ‘is it more advantageous to be a man or a woman in the workforce?’
We had many class discussions that brought on a few arguments, however I was so interested to hear everyone’s ideas on grammar. My Pedagogical Grammar class helped me to see my views on grammar and how I wanted to teach my students. While the traditional method of teaching grammar is important,
