First of all, I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience I may have caused you by my unintentionally prolonged journey home, and I hope to be reunited with you and Telemachus as soon as possible. I want you to know that I miss you with all my heart, and will do everything in my power to return quickly, but have found myself rubbing the wrong way with the Gods. After escaping the city of Cicones, a storm sent by Zeus swept our crew along for nine days before bringing us to a seemingly ordinary looking island called the land of the Lotus-eaters, where the natives gave my crew and I intoxicating lotus fruit. I refused, but my crew dug in. As soon as they ate it, they lost all thoughts of home and wanted nothing more than to stay on the island

This state is rich with heritage, amusement parks, and museums.
The SheiKra holds the title of the tallest roller coaster in Florida, which stands at 200ft tall. It slowly crawls up and gets to the top where you can see the whole park and then drops rapidly into ups, downs, side to sides, it submerges and goes into loops. I remember seeing my mom come out from the entrance of the ride, with her black shirt drenched in water. My mom talked with my cousin about how much fun and how high the SheiKra was. Then, she glanced at me and made an uneasy facial expression.

Would you like to bask in the sun and eat Pica Pollo with the sound of crashing waves in the background? I know that I would thoroughly enjoy taking a vacation to the Dominican Republic because it will be a great cultural experience discovering new foods, seeing the sites and volunteering at local community centers. The Dominican Republic is a beach destination brimming with attractions. It is a blend of culture, history, and stunning natural beauty. Cultural experiences are very important to me because experiencing new things like what various cultures eat and do for fun are great eye openers that shape well rounded members of society.
Gentle waves, lush greenery, and sun-soaked beaches, Antigua embodies your ideal holiday destination. But Jamaica Kincaid turns your paradise upside down in her new memoir A Small Place. Using her pen as a sword, Kincaid slashes Antigua’s façade of perfection into shreds and presses the blade against the throats of tourism, colonialism and corruption. Many denounce Kincaid’s latest book as an over attack, her gaze too penetrating and intimidating. The tone of voice continuously shifts throughout the memoir, starting from sardonic, manifesting into anger, to slowly conclude in melancholy.
