Interpersonal Skills:
Interpersonal Skills are the skills that we use in our everyday life which is also known as people skills. It is because this skill is related to the way you communicate and interact with the people around you on a day to day basis.
For example when employers are hiring people, this skills is one of the skills they will look at to evaluate the candidates. People with this skills is said to be more successful in not only their professional life but also in their personal lives.
Interpersonal Skill is the most important skill you need for you to success on the job. Without it, you can experience conflicts with your co-workers, your manager, or your peers.

In the business domain, the term generally refers to an employee's ability to get along with others while getting the job done. Interpersonal skills include everything from communication and listening skills to attitude and deportment. Good interpersonal skills are a prerequisite for many positions in a business organizations.
Non-Verbal Communication Skills:
These are some of the interpersonal skills that are important and are used in any retail work environment.
Non-verbal communication skills means the skills used to send and get messages without saying anything, just by our facial expressions, gestures, body language and poster, eye gaze etc. which transmit meaning. We use these skills while working on the retail or jobs. Chapter two in the textbook Reflect & Relate an Introduction to Interpersonal Communication by Steven McCornack talks all about what “self” is and how to achieve complete fulfillment for one’s self which is also known as self-actualization. The components of self, as described in the book are, “ . . . self-awareness, self-concept, and self-esteem” (McCornack 39). Self-awareness is the idea in which one can take a moment to move feelings, beliefs, and other external influences aside and just evaluate oneself in a holistic perspective that is not skewed by opinions of others, etc. Having the ability to actually think about who one is brings a lot of power and mental stability in such a way that allows for improvement.
One to one communication: One to one communication is a conversation between two people; which does not include a third person. This type of conversation has a start; which means the conversation has to start off with a greeting, one to one communication al so includes a middle section, which is when you and the person discuss the topic or of what your both going to be speaking about. This particular type of communication also needs an ending, for example when the conversation is coming to an end you can end it by saying “good bye” or “see you later”. Specifically, the job of a veterinary technician requires successfully communicating with clients, as well as staff either in hospital or veterinary office. Moreover, the specific feature of work these specialists is they should associate with one another or with clients on a regular basis. Certainly, communication may and does take place on an informal level, after the working day. The described connections make the notion of “interpersonal relations” an exceptionally important aspect of life within a hospital or veterinary office.

If the communication is poor between you and a service user and with your work colleague the care the service user receives will not be right for them if you’re not talking to them or communicating with them how are you going to know what they like or don’t like.
