I have been constantly dealing with struggles, from which I have learned. One of my biggest struggles, from which I have learned and am still learning, was the transition from middle school to high school. While this is a common struggle for almost all students, that doesn’t mean we should overlook it or write it off in our own lives. When I first began high school, I was filled with adrenaline, which fueled me and kept me on my toes enough to keep up with the workload. This "honeymoon phase" came to an end, and I started falling behind.

As a student in elementary school, I never had very many friends. I was never invited to parties or hang outs and was always kind of left out. Sure, my classmates didn’t mean to do this to me, but the reality of it hurt. This year, I changed. I took what I had learned and I made something better out of it.
When I was in MacCracken middle school, I always wondered what it would be like when I went to Spartanburg high. I kind of wished someone would have told me what high school would be like. Now that I have been here for a year and a half, it is not that hard. I have managed to learn not only a lot in class but also a lot about Spartanburg High School and its people. Friendships and reasonability are areas that I think students in the eighth- grade student should know before they arrive.

When I first started Unity high school I was nervous high school was going to be rough and hard to make friends but I 've been enjoying high school so far in freshman year. The biggest fear for me in high school was that there were going to be little bit of people to hang out with. This freshman year I have not joined any clubs but sophomore year I would consider joining clubs. This freshman year I don 't think I 've changed much from middle school
High school is one of the greatest pivotal times in a human's life. It is where young adults are able to form their own opinions on the world, find activities they are passionate about, and learn to create fruitful relationships with their peers and teachers. However, I did not initially view high school as a period of time for growth and development. Instead, I saw it simply as another task to complete before I entered the real world. I did not take advantage of all the opportunities around me and I began to find school to be institutionalized or meaningless.
I was very afraid on my first day that I would make no friends because everyone seemed already have cliques. However, in my first class I ended up meeting my best friend. By risking isolation I became more confident in my decisions, and met my best friends, I could not have found any of this by following the crowd.
Making It Through High School While Becoming A Young Adult High school is a crazy place for most because everyone is not going to be popular, very athletic, or the smartest person in the classroom. Also regardless of how it looks outside looking in everyone will have a hard time in high school whether it 's an athlete trying to keep his or her grades up so they can play in the next game. Also, if it 's one of the smarter non athletic kids not making one of the sports teams because lack of athletic ability and the coach has his or her picks. Well, my first piece of advice is you can 't let everything people say get to you by being very stoic about situations.
In the duration of my middle school years, I maintained excellent grades, except I had just one issue that held me back from a satisfying life. That issue was the fact that friends came very hard to me in my middle school years. Before my struggles at my middle school, Trafton, I had a very productive social life in the Elementary school I attended, Roberts Elementary. Here, it was very easy to make friends and have a great social life, since no hard work was required as a kid. Middle school, however, was a great challenge for me.

High school has impacted my life in so many ways. High School taught me so many things, from personal relationships to creating a relationship with my education. As a freshman, I made a huge amount of mistakes and I regret doing foolish things, but I’ve realized, I was only maturing into the young adult I am today. Freshman year, I was out of focus and I was only trying to find myself. I would also prioritize other things and ignore my parent’s advice, where they would tell me to focus in school and give it my full attention.

High school grows you into the person you are. I have great memories, good and bad, some learning experiences and some that I’ll take with me the rest of my life. My high school experience has influenced my development as a person inside and outside of the class by making me more independent, choosing friends wisely and teachers motivating me to attend college and accomplish goals I have set for myself. I have gained my independence slowly throughout high school. The importance of being independent is being secure with who you are and what you believe in.
