The purpose of this paper is to introduce the Mental health counselor I have chosen to interview for my final project. In this paper I will include the specialties, the age groups and the modality of clients she services. Further I will explain, why I chose to interview Ms. T
I have always enjoyed the art of cosmetology because it helps bring out people's features, makes them feel more confident, and there's always different looks for everyone. I remember when I would get my hair done, being so intrigued by the art that came from it. How changing the color of someone's hair can change there whole look, or how a simple haircut can bring out certain face features. When I first started doing hair and makeup, I was not very good, but the more I kept practicing the better I got. On the other hand I have always been pretty good with doing hair. I have done varieties of things such as curled, straightened, dyed, and styled hair. Once I got good at doing both, people started asking me to do their hair and makeup for different occasions.
Friends are the raft you need to float when your arms are too tired to swim. They are your rock, your beacon, and your center. Your friends shape not only what you are today but what you will become tomorrow. Friends are the potter, and you are the clay they mold your identity and make you who you are. In the novella The House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros, a tale about a young girl named Esperanza, who uses vignette style writing to create a story of how friendship shapes the life of a young girl.

Many life coaches work within the field of mental health services. Life coaches are usually team members of integrated units that provide individualized community services. They strive to ensure that client's backgrounds and preferences are understood and integrated into treatment and rehabilitation plans. They often work under the direction of the team psychiatrist. They perform case management support functions like creating records, obtaining background information and
My experiences shaped what I want to be, all of these play on each other like one interconnect experience. A faint memory of my dad's friend explaining his field, and procedures to me went a long way. Even though I just listened to his procedures to be polite, his words become dormant. After some time had passed, I was recommended for braces. The first time I applied I was denied, but the second time I got accepted. Meeting my orthodontist I started off firing questions about how he would fix my teeth, of course I was curious, he quickly explained the procedure to me. Every time I came after that, he would explain his procedures, and why he did them. I don't recall most of the procedure names, but I know how to roughly do them. Around this
The values and ideologies that are most important to my future practice include respect for the inherent dignity and worth of persons, service to humanity and competence in professional practice. First, my value of providing respect for the inherent dignity and worth of persons is important to me and my future practice because it allows me to see the uniqueness in all my clients and subsequent cases. Moreover, it further guides me to allow my clients to be self-determined individuals. Correspondingly, it will guide me to provide my clients with the ability to make informed consent. Additionally, this value is important to my future practice because it ensures that I become an advocate for my clients in every capacity, including human rights. Lastly, as a social worker, I will ensure that I work towards my clients being free from violence and the threat of violence (Heinonen & Spearman, 2010, p. 34).

My greatest support has always been my parents. When they were younger they had to leave school, they both dropped out after the 9th grade, since they had to find employment to help support their families. They now support every decision that I make, and continuously motivate me to further pursue knowledge and the opportunity of a great career. Secondly, during my senior year of high school I was part of ASB as historian. The students involved in ASB thought me the value of group work, to be confident, and to never be embarrassed when seeking for help. While being historian I was in charge of helping publicity advertise school events, and of keeping a record of those events by creating a special ASB yearbook. Which helped me with time management
I am an extremely caring person. I use my caring personality to help children when I am a counselor at a local camp over the summers, as well as when I help fellow students in the Math Lab here at Indiana State University. I am also passionate about helping others. I have been fortunate enough to have people in my life whom have helped me through the rough spots in my life. I want to be that person for someone else. I realize that I would not be where I am today without the help these people have given me. I do not want anyone to go through life without someone there to support and encourage them. I am also a great communicator because I know when to speak and when to just listen. This is a skill that I feel has been somewhat lost in my generation.
Everywhere I go, I wear a different personality. I may be faking a laugh. I may pretend to be engaged. Or even simply nodding my head. It is hard to understand my emotions towards individuals, whereas I feel differently. If people really knew the deception they see when I’m around them, they would look at me differently. What is the false truth that others see? They vary from my personality I wear at school, to the one I wear around friends. However, my variety of acts are very different from each other. They carry contrasting feelings that others are not aware of. I act very passive around the people I do not like, a student at school, and a wild/cheerful self around my friends.
As a dietitian there are different career interests that one can go into like being in pediatrics, an educator or counselor, and many more. A few interests that stick out to me are pediatrics/child nutrition and nutrition educator/counselor. Being both you would educate about nutrition and help people grow into a better person and have a better well being. I would also personally prefer working in a hospital, having my own practice, or working in a university. For myself, I have always loved to travel and could see myself going many different places, and with having options of different places to pick an internship was not my worry. The places I picked that grabbed my attention, two were set in Texas and another in North Carolina. The emphasis
Discuss how career counseling and personal counseling relate in terms of process, goals, techniques and relationships.
My character strengths are shown through the construction of my LinkedIn profile. One of my strengths is my kind, compassionate and self-less characteristic, which is portrayed in the volunteer section in my profile. The type of activities where I have been self-less is when I gave up my time to sell roses to raise money for people living with Cystic Fibrosis. In addition to this point, the way I have constructed my profile demonstrates how my volunteer and work experience shows how I value people and I am self-motivated to complete any part of my job. My job allows me to help clients see a psychiatrist promptly. Another strength in my LinkedIn profile is my summary statement. My kind, compassionate and selfless attributes are particularly evident in my summary statement. It allows other people to understand how I use my goals and values to make my decisions about my volunteer and work experience. Therefore, all of these life experiences show that my character strengths are based on the way I have
