3.5 What to be learned from Regulations and Office Etiquette
As a business intern, I worked in a professional environment where there were certain workplace regulations and office etiquette that I needed to be aware of. These rules were in place to ensure that everyone in the workplace was treated with respect and to help the business runs smoothly and efficiently.
Workplace regulations:
The first thing that I learned from workplace regulations was the importance of following rules and regulations. This included understanding the company policies and procedures, as well as any applicable laws and regulations. As an intern, it was my responsibility to familiarize myself with these rules and regulations and to follow them consistently. This helped me establish a good reputation with my colleagues and superiors and demonstrated my

Office etiquette refers to the unwritten rules of behavior that govern how people interact with each other in the workplace. This includes everything from how people dress to how they communicate with others.
One of the most important aspects of office etiquette is professionalism. This meant that I had to be respectful and courteous to my colleagues and superiors at all times. I also learned to be punctual, reliable, and accountable for my work. By demonstrating these qualities, I helped establish myself as a valuable member of the Kha Kmex Group JSC team and built strong relationships with my colleagues.
Another important aspect of office etiquette that I learned was effective communication. This includes both verbal and nonverbal communication. It is important to be clear and concise in my communication, whether I was speaking to a colleague or sending an email. I also needed to be mindful of my body language and tone of voice, as these can convey a lot of information about my attitude and intentions.
My attitude to team members and students is marked by respect and courtesy, and I am prepared to exchange viewpoint and ideas with all. Moreover, I enjoy sharing resources and gladly
Fortunately, I’ve been taught the three major rhetorical appeals which increases your level of speech and process of getting a point across. This was extremely valuable to me because I am an individual that
Policies and procedures give clear messages to staff about their responsibilities and roles. They set boundaries which they are expected to work within. It is very important to remember polices and procedures are set in place to make ensure the best possible practice is undertaken to provide the best care and learning environment for the children or young people.
We all knew the rules at the beginning of the course and signed a contract saying we would abide by them, so there was no arguing with the consequences. Most of the rules that were placed could lead to the student getting kicked out of the class and stop them from receiving their certificate. We also knew the payoff for abiding by the rules which was to receive our certification as a Medical Assistant, something that people pay thousands of dollars for schooling and we were going to get it for free. None of us wanted to risk that and it was something we all were very grateful
IV. Interpersonal Skills Effective interpersonal skills are critical for statesmanship. They include effective communication, empathy, negotiation, and conflict resolution. The officials failed to effectively communicate the potential risks to residents, failed to empathize with their concerns, and failed to negotiate an effective solution quickly (Campbell, Greenberg, Mankikar, & Ross,
Rules may be created to protect us, although when is it justified to break them? When do we draw the line and decide not to follow regulations? There are many reasons or excuses we have for going against rules. These reasons can range anywhere from an emergency to personal gain. Even though we have these “reasons” to breaking rules, we may face consequences for our actions.
Well etiquette is a code of behavior or courtesy based on rules of a polite society while manners are socially correct ways of acting. They are based on kindness, respect, thoughtfulness, and consideration. It is key to remember that good manners are timeless, whereas, the rules of etiquette may vary with
I’m willing and able to negotiate elements and I always take into consideration the ideas of my teammates. Out of those situations I also had to learn to be an effective communicator however, my skills were really put to the test during my year abroad as an exchange student. I arrived in my host country with only a few phrases under my belt. As a result, I learned to learn to be a good listener and to be precise in my speech.
Therefore, we must learn how to interact with one another in appropriate manners for each interacting individual. For instance, I have always been timid when working with a physician, because I am stuck on the idea that he or she may be too intelligent for me. I believed that we did not have compatible minds, so communicating with an individual such as a doctor would lead to lack of comprehension to my end. Therefore, uncomfortable feelings may arise, leading to a lack of collaboration. This scenario clearly changed, due to the fact that the physicians whom I have worked with have shown me otherwise, and prodigious teamwork has driven from there.
Then by being tact you would have a keen sense on what to do or say to someone else in order to keep a good relation with them. This is why tact is an excellent example of professionalism and how it can be applied. Another example of professionalism is by showing initiative and that is by showing an interest in things especially before others do. By showing initiative you are being a leader and that is a trait common to being very professional. Also, the definition of initiative is having the ability to assess and initiate things independently.
In the 2004 film Mean Girls, Cady Heron walks into her first day at a new high school without introductions or proper instructions on how to be a regular American teen — needless to say she is completely lost. Comparatively, if Cady was a newly hired employee and was not given the proper orientation she would encounter an array of problems including difficulty adjusting to the new environment. Fortunately, new members of an organization are given training and are expected to be familiarized with their work environments through orientation. One of the first instances of ‘rule-breaking’ identified in the film can be seen when Cady mistakenly tries to leave class to go to the washroom without her mandatory lavatory pass. In order for cases of
Self-reflections on communication skills It is inescapable to have interpersonal conflict in any relationships and situations. Over the time I learned how could be on time in all job assignments by just managing the time appropriately. When facing a new stage of your life, new people appear, and like everyone, you want to make a good first impression, and that is when good manners come in, the way to treat people, the way you talk to them and how you act in front of someone says a lot about yourself. In my family, good manners are everything, you have to be respectful to everyone even if they are being rude to you, I grew up knowing that you have to give without expecting to receive something back, not only things or objects, also words and actions, I have always been aware that respect is your best first and last impression, your manners are what builds you as a person and that is what I have been practicing them all my life, those were the values given to me, and I will keep them. I believe that having good manners makes you feel even better about yourself, it opens doors to new opportunities, new people with the same values as mine, that are going to rely on me because of their trust, because they will know what I’m made up of. Good manners became valuable to me since childhood because I realized that being respectful to everyone was like respecting
