Articles of Confederation was the written document that established the functions of the national government of the United States after it declared independence from Great Britain.” The Articles were needed after the United States won war. There was no unity among the country. They used the Articles as their set of rules. There were many important people that had to do with the constitution.
They had finally gotten independence. But, starting a new country involved many hard tasks, that was especially hard because no one was willing to cooperate for the better good. Everyone wanted to benefit their state only. So, they made the Articles of Confederation. This made each state like and independent country, only having a government to keep them to keep them united, so that if for example, a war were to come, they would ally with each other.

The Articles of Confederation had created a very loose alliance of the 13 colonies or states as they will later be referred to.
