Office of Residential Life. My experiences have taught me how to build strong relationships with different groups. In the past, I have explored other options and have since built a clearer vision for my professional goals; as I want to reach my full capacity with an organization I believe in. My abilities are backed by my experiences and knowledge. I assure you that this will allow me to successfully help ensure a safe living environment, where residential students feel welcomed and comfortable with their living arrangements, as we work together to build a strong community and Stockton family.
My intention is not to join this organization to step or because I like to party but, because I believe whole-heartedly in the values of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc., scholarship, service, sisterhood and finer womanhood. I believe that through Zeta Phi Beta Inc. I will be able to fine tune my leadership skills, make lifelong friendships and help people on my journey as others did for me. It is my hope that this lifestyle will change my life for the better. So what does it mean to be a member Zeta Phi Beta Inc.?
Resident Advisors fulfill many requirements from mentor to role model to someone of spectacular organizational skills. It’s important for a Resident Advisor to be someone that residents can come to when they’re struggling in any aspect of their life and that advisor can direct them to the resources that are available here on campus for that problem. I understand that it would be my responsibility to create a safe space for my residents where they feel that they can be themselves and that they are at home. It’s also my responsibility to watch out for the well-being of my residents since for many of them this will be the first time they will be away from home. I believe that an excellent Resident Advisor ensures that each and every resident
Another goal I have is to be a great leader/ role model for not only my family, underclassmen, but my community. Being a leader now will help me show my family, underclassmen, and community that I work hard and that things don’t come easy. I am always willing to help out and make a difference in my community. Having set goals makes me want to work harder, and also making me realize the road will be hard. But with the work ethics I have that I’ve learned throughout high school, and will continue to learn in college will help me accomplish these much easier.
Staff members work as a team for the benefit of Residents and home benefits. Hence, the last is power that is linked with my nursing home in a way that the staff members are remain controlled and are also positively influenced by other either senior or new comer for new job role in order to get standard recognition either through prizes or through training. David McClelland’s theory of motivation can be implemented at my workplace on daily basis with the reason of pure commitment and highly achievement. Staff empowerment and job role to pursue commendations by learning from their own mistake made by their dedication to be recognised as the main role model for their fellow team
Marywood University incorporates a mission statement where they base a campus state of well-being off a list of core values including, empowerment, service, excellence, catholic identity and respect. We are working towards a goal in a community at Marywood that presents these core values as a set of words to live by on campus, but in our hearts we have to connect meaning to them. Sometimes, it might be hard as a college freshman to know these words by their definition but rather what they mean to them and how they can actually put them into action. The book “A Good Man” and the speech “This is Water” represent the Marywood core value of Excellence in two completely different ways in which a Good Man represents the physical actions of Excellence
Things that helped me through my career are what created my leadership philosophy. There is an “M” in team; Build professionals by being a professional, everyone needs humility to succeed; Just relax. There is an “M” in team, because the team starts with the “Me”, the individual. Everyone on a team has a duty to prepare themselves mentally and physically. If all members of a team take ownership of their personal preparedness, a team’s success is certain.
Cesar Chavez has inspirational core values to accept all people, celebrate the community, respect life and the environment, non-violence, innovation, preference to help the most needy, knowledge, sacrifice, service to others, and determination. His first core value to accept all people, I was raised to not judge people based on their race or religion. Being raised this way has made me curious about other peoples backgrounds and cultures. Therefore, during my years in college I would like to spend a semester abroad in order to incorporate myself in another culture and learn as much as possible. Celebrating the community, one of the major ways that I have done this is being involved in Florence All-Around 4-H. We take pride in giving back to the community whether it is to help an elderly couple clean up their yard or volunteering for town events.
With genuine purpose, love will always prevail. This article is effective in persuading college graduates to obtain a job that benefits society because he has a clear and understanding meaning, uses personal experience, and makes readers think. One reason Carl McCoy is effective in portraying his ideas is that he is exceedingly descriptive and clear to understand. Early on the author states the specific audience this article is directed to. He clearly states his projected audience so readers that are not intended to read this article are not confused with the message they are
Often, I use a more task-oriented approach to leadership, which can be off-putting to followers. I believe that the Adaptive Leadership Approach will help me achieve my goal to start an alumni chapter because it assumes that a large number of the problems faced in leadership are embedded in interactive systems. Problems are complex, and can change and evolve as relationships do (Northouse, 2016). This model is also useful for this goal because “adaptive leadership clearly describes leadership as the actions the leaders undertake to afford followers the best opportunity to do adaptive work” (Northouse, 2016, p. 292). This idea relates to how sorority alumni chapters work, and the idea that we all have different goals and reasons for wanting to be a part of this group.
It has been expected that many students would go to a community college because it is cheaper. Therefore, we must implement future expansions. On my behalf, I would like to be socially responsible for the changes affecting the college. I am well aware of the procedures and is authorized to make ethical decisions according to regulations. With that being said, I find it necessary to serve the community by upgrading the campus.
College is often regarded as a time of exploration, a time to discover interests and passions that ignite a desire to seek sagacity in a field that will alleviate the burdens of others and fulfill one’s self wholeheartedly. It is essential to me that my college career allows me to strive for educational excellence and moral enrichment simultaneously. Through the Pre-Physical Therapy track it will be my focus to obtain an education to help others as I have been helped in the past. Restoring movement and functionality to someone’s life is deeply connected to SPU’s vision, for the work that physical therapists do is equally as transformative for the therapist as it is to the patient. To ensure someone receives the treatment they need to carry out the life they want is paramount
I think, “If I choose community college to begin my study in the United State, I will have more time to learn about the habits and customs of the US” and I am happy because I did that decision. Beside the school, I can take part in clubs, I can improve my English skill and I can be stronger. Second, I can help my parents to save a lot of money. I try to get high GPA at community college so I could get scholarships for my
