Have you ever wondered that school sports should be banned from kids being able to play them on a daily basis? I believe that school sports should be banned. The 1st reason kids get injured a lot. The 2nd reason why school sports should be banned is because some kids get killed while playing sports like football. The 3rd reason why school sports should be banned is that kids might get a really bad concussion and the parents would be mad at the coaches because the coaches will not do anything about it.
Reason #1
The kids might want to play a game like football and if they aren’t careful then they will get majorly injured. If the kid waits a injury before taking care of it then it can lead to not being able

If they get it really hard in the head then they could be put in a coma and could be laying there for a while and possibly die from it. If they get hit hard in the head then it could crack the child’s skull if it gets hit hard enough. If they get hit in the head really hard then they could be put out of football for a very long time if they get hit really hard .
Reason #3
IF some kids get really bad concussions then they need to be taken to the E.R.If the kid is hit really hard and needs to get surgery then the parents would get very mad at the coaches and they would take them off the football team. If it costs to much for the kids surgery then the parents would also get mad at the medics because it would cost them a fortune! After the child’s surgery they would have to stay out of the current sport they are playing.
Counter argument
On the other hane school sports should not be banned because it can be good for the children to get more fit and not play video games all day so they go and play sports and not be lazy and
Topic: Why schools should spend more money on equipment to protect athletes from concussions and other injuries. In today’s society sports rule the lives of kids of all ages. Football, being one of the most popular, is on the decline because of the recent studies of NFL players having CTE (Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy) causing early death and brain/memory problems. WIth these studies parents are starting to pull their children from playing football at a young age to try and reduce the risk of head injuries in general.
“The most common types of injuries in youth football players are bruises, ligament sprains and muscle strains.” “The most common areas of the body for injuries are the hand and wrist, ankle, foot and knee.” “Concussions and other head injuries as well as spinal and neck injuries are less common.” http://www.livestrong.com/article/358827-percentage-of-kids-who-are-injured-in-football/#sthash.ZiqvdVRt.dpuf Concussions are more likely to happen at older age such as high school and so on because the force of contacts from the players are stronger also from way of hitting one
High School Sports Should be Funded Every year 300,000 students are participating in sports (Gould 1). The School District has been funding the athletics program, which has been benefiting many of the students’ lives for several years. The discontinuation of high school sports will cause many students to loose the health, social and educational benefits provided by participating in athletics. The School District should continue to fund sports because they benefit students.
Concussions are a change in mental state due to a traumatic impact such as being tackled, helmet to helmet contact or even simply hitting the ground.. Not all those who suffer a concussion will lose consciousness. Some signs that a concussion has been sustained are headache, dizziness, nausea, loss of balance, drowsiness, numbness/tingling, difficulty concentrating, and blurry vision. The athlete should return to play only when clearance is given by a healthcare professional. Football athletes are also vulnerable to other injuries that don't include bones or concussion like events.
People use sports as a way to escape school, or escape a hard time at home, or whatever the case might be. Maybe, they just want to play to have fun. However, if kids are going to be getting hurt almost every time you play, then is it really worth it. Overall, all Athletes should have more protective
Obviously, when students don 't have after school sports they become less stressed and have more time to study for tests which overall increases their grades. Therefore, schools need to cut sports to make sure that all of their students succeed so they 're prepared for the rough future that awaits
Tackling in Youth Football Should be Banned Imagine a nine year old boy who loves laughing. He is energetic, and it seems like he is always doing something. He is getting ready for the big football game later one afternoon. He has been waiting for this day for two weeks; it is finally here.
Over 147,000 youth football players suffered from concussions in the 2013-2014 school year. Although, the article “Should kids Play Football?” states that “Young athletes learn discipline, focus, teamwork—skills that will help them be successful later in life.” Football is too dangerous of a sport. But, according to , kids are now being thought new and enhanced techniques of playing the sport. The chances of injuries and concussions are rapidly decreasing. Therefore, kids should be allowed to play the sport. Moreover, it has been proven through many studies that active kids do better in school.
Contact sports are the reason kids are getting hurt. Contact sports are good for kids. The Federal and state government should stop kids under 10 to stop playing contact sports because 45% of kids under 10 getting hurt are from contact sports and 5% of the time its ending that kids chances to play sports in the feature, Not to mention contact sports can also make kids go to their fullest and being burned out and although contact provide some kids will useful tools in life most of the time there is more negative than positive.
The stress can get so intense, it feels paralyzing. That’s why it is important than ever for schools to invest in their athletic programs,” states the sports article “Should Schools get rid of Sports.” Schools should keep their sports programs because they help improve academics, help improve mental and emotional health, and improves social skills like being on a team. Schools should not get rid of their sports programs because they help with student’s academics.
OP-ED Football Dangers I believe that football is very dangerous and could have horrible consequences. If parents let their kids play football they could seriously get injured. They could break bones or get a concussion. The evidence is the amount of breaks and concussions per year.
Dr. Bennet Omalu stated that children's brain do not fully develop until they are about in the 18-25 years old range. This would end up making their brains more likely to be harmed and damaged and if a child receives many repeated blows to the head they can end up with permanent brain damage which can also lead to bad side effects later in life. Concussions and injuries to the head are a big problem in football. So why should we allow the most vulnerable to be put in harm's way and risk their futures? The answer is we should
It is true that obesity and physical inactivity can be unhealthy and dangerous for a child; it is the 4 leading cause of death after all (Myer); but banning contact sports wouldn’t necessarily cause obesity or physical inactivity. If contact sports are to be banned children can still choose to play a different sport; there are plenty of other sports like soccer and basketball. In fact, sports are becoming a much more popular thing in the US and more children are getting physically active. According to Terry Adirim : “Half of all children aged 5-18 years in the US are thought to participate in organized sports programs, This nears that an estimated 30 million school aged children children are involved in sports, which represents a substantial increase over the last 20-30 years (Adirim). Now that more and more children are playing sports, obesity and physical inactivity isn’t as high as it once was.
In the world, there are many arguments around. But the biggest argument people are questioning is: are sports good for you or are they a bad chance for a concussion. Your choice, is the wrong choice. Sports are better than sitting around with nothing to do. But not just for one day, everyday!
