Mission statements should be written in a way that when someone reads the statement, they have an understanding of the activities that are performed in the organization. In this paper I will compare the mission statement of Chick-Fil-A Foundation with my personal mission statement. Chick-fil-A Foundation Chick-fil-A Foundation is a non-profit organization that’s sole purpose is to provide leadership and guidance to children and also support education in the local communities.

If all members of the school community are using the same principles and techniques when managing behaviour, it is much more likely that the children will respond in a positive way. The children will know the range of rewards and dispensations, and the order in which they will be used, no matter who is speaking to them about their behaviour. Workforce re-modelling has had an impact on a number of different professionals who are now working in schools. Support staff and midday supervisors, as well as those running extended school provision, should know the importance and impact of consistent methods. It is also important that support staff are given status within the school so that they are respected in the same way as fully qualified teaching
Propriety and behaviour- While working with pupils it is essential for staff member to behave in an appropriate and professional manner at all times we it is their responsibility to set a good example for the pupil of the school. Teachers and their assistants are often seen as role models therefore it is an important part of the job to set a respectful and friendly example to which their pupils will intern mirror. Working within a school setting, all staff member have a duty of care to their pupils, this means that pupils need to be protected from any harm or danger and regular risk assessments have to take place to ensure the school is a safe environment for the pupils . Also before employing any new staff members the school has to organise  DBS checks to  be done before they can begin to work in the school. Whistle blowing-
It is important for the pupils to know that they are supported and guided not just by the teacher but also by the assistant’s. They also have a right to being taught the right work appropriate to their level of study. The frameworks that makes this possible consist of child protection, Health and safety, content and delivery of the curriculum, staff training and anti-discrimination. Both teachers and the assistants need to know these frameworks and many others so that they are able to work with the children equally and to the best of their ability. Child protection insures that the children are well looked after in the school environment or at home.
The essay, The Seven Lesson Schoolteacher, by John Taylor Gatto addresses educational curriculum with a cynical truth that transpires around the United States. His brutal honesty grasps the reader by using common sense and a hint of sarcasm to appeal to humor. The main point of his argument in my perception, states that we must develop children to be critical thinkers and not always agree with authority. By allowing the schooling in a child’s development expecting them to not question an adult’s words does lead to a population that has accepted being dumbed down. Following what has been indicated, a direct quote positions people deprived forever of finding the center of their own special genius (Gatto, part III, pars 3).

The transition from primary to post-primary education is one of the most drastic of those changes, and schools need to be equipped to accommodate that transition. For special educational needs, many steps need to be taken in order to familiarize both parties with the conditions they live with and how success can be met. In order for students to feel comfortable and make the transition as smooth as possible, there are many things that schools can do to ensure this success. In order for special education pupils to succeed, schools need to create inclusion in the classrooms and with peers, so that SEN pupils can interact with other students and experience real world classroom time. For students with disabilities, schools need to take some necessary steps in order for a beneficial transition to take place.
