of communications. The impact this made of my life was very heavy because I learned a lot and gained a deeper love for DECA. I have learned how to communicate with others more, manage time wisely, and plan accordingly. This experience helped me more about being the head of an organization. Being about of this club is very beneficial because it is basic preparation of becoming a leader.
In one person’s life, there can be many changes. Some of them are small and do not have a very big effect on your life. However, other events are very important and can completely change a person’s life, such as moving to a new country, joining the military, getting married, or buying a house. Two of the events that have changed my life the most was moving to the United States and the joining the military. When I first arrived in the United States, I was only twelve years old.
When I first arrived in this country, I realized that a tremendous transformation would happen in my life both physically and mentally. After spending more than two months in the United States and interacting with this special person, I firmly believe that moving to the United States is a beneficial change for me. This change provides me a chance to lead a healthy lifestyle as well as a new way of thinking that are significant for me. Before I go on to sum up my changes that happened in my life I would like to describe this special person. I used to be a reserved kind of individual and hesitated to communicate to others and failed to communicate what I think and what are my thoughts on that topic.
My intention has always been to stay at the same instruction because it has not only made me grow professionally but it has also led me to many opportunities in my professional goals. Throughout my undergraduate years, I have experience, achieve, and learn many things. More importantly, in the past few years, I have come to realize my doing in life is to do what I do best which also brings me the best joy. As I stated before, that joy comes from helping the vulnerable and being the voice that they need. I know this challenges will not be easy but I’m confident in my abilities to complete this degree which will ultimately lead to making an even bigger impact in the lives many students and
Words I strive to live by everyday. Words that demonstrate a qualifier for National Honors Society. I have shown and demonstrated these words several times in a positive manner at events that either help the community or people benefit from it. Today in society it is hard to find the good in the world, however I believe I have good intentions to help people in every way I can possible. Being inducted into National Honors Society is more than just a certificate.
Ever since I can recall, I remember making big plans for my future, butt I did not know, at that age, that college was actually something that had to be payed for. Even though I eventually realized it, it still didn’t make me stray from my path, on the contrary, it gave me more of a reason as to why I should aspire to do better than my surroundings. As the oldest child, I have always been told that I must be the greater example for my younger siblings as well as for others. Up until my early teenage years I did not understand why I should be a distinguished person for others and not for myself. I now yearn to become someone to make the world a better place.
I experienced the wonderful feeling of seeing all my hard, dedicated work pay off. Therefore, I joined the varsity to State, where unforgettable memories were made. That season inspired me to work harder in every aspect of my life, and stick with it even when the challenges appear to be too
I am not prepared for the work that I am going to get when I attend college but I am prepared in a different way one that most people ever even think about. One of the reasons that I believe that I have not been prepared for college is that there is a lack of challenges in the work that is given to me. I transfered to San Jacinto Christen Academy after my freshman year of high school. When I got
Considering my social standings at the time, I figured I would lose again. However, much to my surprise, I won the election. I was empowered by every meaning of the word. Given this literal position of power, I became more confident in myself. I felt like I had a purpose and was actually making a difference in the
It is a leader’s responsibility to serve others and inspire them to live fuller lives. Throughout the past few years, I have worked to become the best leader possible in hopes of enacting positive change. I’m often the person my friends turn to when they need encouragement. Though it can certainly be nerve-wracking to risk failure, seeking new opportunities is an important avenue of growth. I attempt to incorporate this message in all of my endeavors, including as a Gatton Academy Avatar.
Two months earlier, I knew what I wanted to do; I wanted to run for Senior Class President. I never really saw myself as the popular kid, and this is kind of the stereotype for senior class presidents, but I was determined to try. Only one person was running against me, so this was a head to head. I thought of myself as the better candidate, as I think I’ve always stood up for the students of Hebron. Hours went into making posters, into meeting people, and anything else I could think of that might give me that slight edge up.
The level of maturity I have acquired from working side by side with my fellow soldiers and protecting our great nation have prepared me to accept many difficult challenges. Completing these challenges to the best of my abilities, a trait I learned in the Army. This is just another step to achieving my goals. I am not a quitter and I will not give up. It is my conviction that when one door closes many more will opened with greater opportunities.
There are many positive attributes and assets that I possess. One of them is I am hard working; this will help our FFA chapter because I will venture to make a better and stronger chapter. Another positive attribute is I am reliable; I will strive to be at all of the meetings and activities that the chapter will bestow upon me. Last of all, I am a leader because I am passionate about the things I do while being open minded to the opinions of others. The FFA Chapter has many activities for members to participate in.
I could place all the blame on the mistakes I made freshman year but that would not help change that I fell short of my goal twice. Instead I had to accept that my hard work was not hard enough and my endeavors were not my earnest. If I had the knowledge and skills that I have now back when I was a freshman, I would have had a higher chance at being a part of National Honor Society. The reality is that I cannot change what I did or did not do three years ago. Although the experience I have now would have helped me then, I must use my knowledge to help me now and not make the same
