For analytical purposes, factors influencing risk-taking behavior in ESL/EFL classroom can be divided into two categories—internal and external factors. Internal factors are those that originate within the learner himself or herself. Personal and affective factors are related to this. On the other hand, external factors are those that originate from outside learners. This category includes learners ' learning environment and learners ' cultural beliefs or practices that are generally shared by a certain ethnic group and taught at school or learned naturally in the process of growing up in society.

Brown (1987) defines motivation as "an inner drive or stimulus which can be global, situational, or task-oriented. He further asserts that "learning a foreign language clearly requires some of all these levels of motivation" (p. 115). Some studies have argued that the effete of motivation on language learning can be viewed in terms of the type of motivation: 'integrative versus instrumental motivation ' (Gardner & Lambert, 1972). Gardner (1983), and Graham (1984) noted that integratively motivated learners, who wish to integrate themselves within the culture of the second language group, work harder and are more likely to participate actively in the class. On the other hand, Perez (1984), and Polland (1991) found that instrumental orientation (a desire to acquire a language as a means for attaining instrumental goals is associated with active involvement in classroom interaction. Gardner and Macintyre (1991) found that both integrative and instrumental motivation influence language learning
While education and knowledge is an important key factor, influences on behavior and motivation can influence change as well. Altering one’s own behavior may require individual support of others. Effects of behavior should also include a basis of evaluation on outcomes of the learning
Internals are said to achieve more in school, become more independent, less depressed, and to cope well with stress. Clearly, this is the case of Dr. Brennan. She achieved highly in school, thus earning her a stellar education. This allowed her to become one of the best forensic anthropologists in the country. As a foster child constantly moving house, she was more likely to do worse in school.
Internal Influences have an extraordinary impact on any business worldwide. These include basically everything from where the business was located and how the business runs. The location of any business is always important for the success of the business, this must be convenient for all customers because if it in the middle of nowhere then you wouldn’t get a lot of clients, for example; if Young People don’t know that Prospects, national careers service is available to them they might not get the help that they need to find what they are looking for whether that be Employment or Education. Internal Influences can be inner strengths and weaknesses that an organization can show. Internal factors can be a strong effect on how well the company goes out to meet their goals which could be strengths if they have a high impact on how the business performs.
Really, the question is: are external influences more important that internal? Many people will agree that external influences are more important in making people who they are because external influences shape your attributes and point of view, when humans are born there is more bad than good inside you and you can only change by divine intervention. So, how is it that external influences shape people? Interestingly characteristics and attributes are determined by external influences because of the way our parents raise us, for example, if your parents always overemphasized the importance of education you will hold it in high esteem and therefore when choices arise you will choose education over having fun.
Internal factors happen inside an organisation the staff are likely to have direct control over it. External factors happen outside the organisation and are less likely to have a direct control over it. The businesses reputation or image may affect a business internally as a customer may have suffered poor customer service and this would have a negative influence on the business. Just as exceptional customer service would have a positive affect on the business, Other internal inlfuences on an organisation would be staff changes or issues. Staff within one grouping may not work well together so staff may have to be moved around or staff changes due to promotion etc.
Erikson: Case Study 6 (pages 21-23) 1. Would Erikson’s theory suggest that Betty’s behavior is internally or externally motivated? What motivates it? Which system of personality is most involved in personality, according to the theory? a) Erikson’s theory suggests that Betty’s behaviors are externally motivated, that is to say what drives her comes from the outside and beyond her control.

I work very hard to put safety rules in place and to ensure the children understand and practice them. I also follow the safe-risk approach, teaching children how to safely explore their environment during play. For example, rather than stopping a child from walking from one tree stump to another, I teach them how to do so safely. I feel that teaching children how to take risk safely is very important as they will use this approach in many aspects throughout their life. Moreover, with this approach, I also teach the children the difference between safe risk and unsafe risk.
Motivation at workplace There are two dimensions of motivation; internal and external. Internal motivation refers to personal interest in doing something and external motivation refers to be persuaded by someone’s activity. The characteristics of motives are identified as: individualistic, changing, may be unconscious, often inferred, and hierarchical (Reece, 2014). Most important fact to understand motivation is the theories. Many motivational theories have been developed over time to study human behavior at the workplace.

We get exposed to many things in the world that have a huge effect on our character. When someone gets shot by another being, that individual can have a scar and the shooting can decrease their self-confidence greatly. So it is true that who a person is and who they will become can be greatly influenced by the external factors that they are exposed to. The most popular external factors that affect a crowd is family, life experiences, and culture.
Since the spread of formal schooling and education in human societies, fostering cognitive abilities, such as understanding, reasoning, critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving and judgment has been highlighted [1]. Problem-solving is an essential skill in today’s life [2]. Problem-solving is a goal-directed thinking [3]. It is a mental process, some logical, orderly, intellectual thinking that helps cope with problems, search several solutions and choose the best solution [4]. According to Moshirabadi, problem-solving is a systematic process and a problem-focused situation analysis that indicates the ability of individuals to overcome obstacles and to achieve goals.

“You can’t see other people’s point of view when you have only one language,” declared psycholinguist, Frank Smith. Just as it is mentioned in this quote, foreign language is important; therefore, people should learn a foreign language at an early age. When learning a foreign language at an early age, it helps people to concentrate and increase comprehension skills. Also, at a young age, the mind is fresh, so the person can take in more information and can easily master a foreign language. In addition, most secondary schools, universities, and jobs require a foreign language to be known.
