INTRODUCTION
Depression and insomnia is something that was not very common particular in youth 2 or 3 decades back but as the current scenario stands these factors are effecting the youth of the country as well as well as the entire youth population around the world. These two factors cannot be neglected as they are affecting the lifestyle, behavior, and future of youths. First let u see basically these two term means and what is its pathogenesis that is how it upon the body. The persistent feeling of sadness or loss of interest that characterizes major depression can lead to a range of emotional and physical conditions. These include inability to sleep or concentrate on tasks. Changes in appetite, decreased energy level and thoughts of suicide are also seen. Academic Stress – In Today’s competitive world every parent want their children to excel in academics especially in India where there is more emphasis on academics rather than on extracurricular activities and failing in doing so may lead youth in phase of depression.
2. Social Anxiety or Peer Pressure – Youth is phase of life when social reputation and society acceptance is very important for everyone and not getting that may lead to depression and in today’s world to get accepted in society youth may indulge in smoking, alcohol, drugs and other experimental behavior can also cause trauma.
3. Romantic Problems – In Youth, romantic entanglements become a much more prominent and influential part of life. From breakups to unrequited affection, there are a plethora of ways in which budding love lives can cause teens to become depressed.
