INTRODUCTION

1.1 Background of the Study
Motivation to learn is one of the components that can influence the students’ behavior to act in a desired way. Thus, it can lead them to the successful of education achievement. In addition, different students have different motivation that they believe can motivate them to learning. In education setting, students’ motivation to learn is something that crucial towards the institution that can give greater impact on the education system in particular country. It is governed the country to produce the larger number of intelligent and innovative people that can lead to the national development for that particular country. There are only few resources and latest articles journal and researchers available with regards to the scope of this research. However, some of it is inaccessible which could not be referred by the researcher. The researcher has also faced other limitations preceding this research so far such as time constraint. Furthermore, this study was confined to business faculty students’ only. Thus, there are limited to direct effect of motivation to learn.

1.8 Definition of Key Term
Motivation to learn – According to Keller (1979) curiosity must be aroused, meaningfully related to a learner’s goals, self-efficacy, relevant to personal value, satisfied and experiences with the learning outcome.
Cultural value – According to Hofstede (2001) is refer to a set of values, ideas, artifact and other meaningful symbols that help individuals to communicate, interpret and evaluate as a member of society.
Individualism – Based on Hofstede et al (2005) individual interest is more priorities over the interest of the group also known as loosely knit social
