Ain’t no one I’ve flown with over here shown any more guts than you did when you saved my ass the other day. By God! That’s what I’ll do. I’ll set the fuckin’ record straight all right!” I wasn’t at all convinced that he would actually do what he said. But I was starting to find the conversation more embarrassing, and it had become obvious to me that Don was a little drunker than I had first thought.
By: Edwin Unsihuay, David Castillo, and Pedro Ortega Upon finishing his shift as a taxi driver for the night, Anthony James went to the convenience store a few blocks from where he parked his cab to get a pair of cigarettes. With the time being 11:20 pm, the area of Plainfield, New jersey was deserted. Everybody in the area appeared to be asleep. The rain that fell from above was a distraction for Anthony as he made his way to the store on foot. Once in the store, Anthony went straight to checkout to tell the cashier that he would like a pack of cigarettes.
Dre, and DJ Yella were all sitting in a room listening to Dre make music. When the three young men were done, Cube was going home. In the movie, his home was shown to be right across the street. Owl eyes are introduced when Nick meets him during Gatsby's party in the library when he is described as being able to see the real Gatsby, “It was the man with owl-eyed glasses whom I had found marvelling over Gatsby’s books in the library one night three months before. I don’t know how he knew about the funeral, or even his name. The rain poured down his thick glasses, and he took them off and wiped them to see the protecting canvas unrolled from Gatsby’s grave.”(Fitzgerald 174). Nick’s first impression and confused thoughts as to why he was at Gatsby's funeral are clearly present. Owl eyes sees the good and moral value that is within Gatsby and that the rest of society does not have.
The blind man then has the speaker draw what a cathedral looks like, and he placed his hand on top of the speaker’s while he drew. He then asks the speaker to close his eyes and draw it, and the speaker has an epiphany, saying that he felt placeless, and was feeling like he never did before. I believe that this was him realizing the importance of understanding and empathy. However, in Car Crash While Hitchhiking, the speaker does not change throughout the story. He was on a lot of drugs in the story, and at the end the author depicts him being in some sort pf psych ward.
They experience everything together, but every good thing comes to an end. The Null “President Tonald Drump under pressure as more riots break out in support of Null Rights. Drump says that he will begin working on improving the laws in respect to Null Rights, right after he finishes constructing the Great Wall of Xemico…” says the News anchor on the diner’s TV. The bell above the door rang as a young man enters the cosy diner from the dark, stormy night outside. He takes off his weathered raincoat and gently hangs it on the coat stand. Lifting his head, he examines his new surroundings.
That morning if I awaken on time, if my bike had no puncture, if I had gone straight to work instead of the shop, then I never would have bought the ticket. The lottery ticket that change my life forever! That same day I arrived at the bakery two hours late to find that Mr Johnson the store owner had already replaced me. “This is the third time you’ve arrived late, you’re fired!” he roared. Now unemployed I wallowed in self pity, tears running down my face and screams of anger leaving me as I wobble down the dirt path home.

Duddy did all of this for his Grandfather, but his Grandfather Simcha was sad and walked back to the car slowly while Duddy looked lost as he watched his Grandfather with a gloomy face even though he did what his grandfather told him that “A man without land is nobody”. Duddy states asking his grandfather he said “What’s the matter, Zeyda, where are you going?” his grandfather responded “Back to the car.” Duddy responded saying “Have you picked your farm yet?” Simcha replied back “I don’t feel well. I’m going to sit in the car .” Duddy with a disappointed voice state “But you haven’t chosen your farm yet. Zeyda, wait.” (Duddy Kravitz, 359). Truly then Duddy was angry and confused that he couldn’t understand why his Grandfather Simcha was sad, that he did all of this for him yet his Grandfather turned his back and just walked away.
Just walking around you can see large clusters of graves with Asian writing on them, a Jewish section, a Veteran’s section, amongst others. Upon walking around the cemetery, I kind of got the sense that most of these people came from at the very least middle to upper class families, just because of the extravagance of some of the memorials and headstones. Certain very extravagant memorials left my feeling curious, especially the large and eye-catching memorial of the family that all had the same date of death. I did some research and came to learn that this family died in a plane crash a couple of years ago and he was an extremely wealthy businessman. Located just a few feet from that plot was WWE star, Eddie Guerrero’s grave.
