Today was a very special day. I rushed through my daily routine like preparing breakfast and getting the kids up. I went to the arena after bringing the kids to school. I told them to hurry up. I didn’t want to be late because it was going to be crowded and I wanted a seat. This trail was going to be extra special because the princess’s boyfriend was going to be on trail. My husband and I were very excited to go to the arena to watch the trail. I wondered how this political system running by a barbaric king would work. Is this going to be a fair trial? After bringing the kids to school, my husband and I headed over to the arena. It was shocking to see how many people got there before us. The whole arena was packed with people from
We put our bags with our gear in them by the place they told us to. I saw my whole team in there waiting for the rest of my team. I saw my best friend Christian at the time he played for the bison. My tickets were in what I call nosebleeds also called {High Seats} I could barely see the puck. 13:00 min into the game the rage score!!!!
It was just amazing feeling to be there. Music was playing, fans were screaming, and it was just loud. The lighting was very bright then the usual rinks in America that I played for the other teams. And after I see this, I promised myself that I would never forget this game and the
and I was getting ready to board the bus for a state football game against the Becker Bulldogs. The police escorted us to Saint Cloud State under a lot of care. Even though I was a freshman and didn’t play much varsity, I was getting to see what it was state is like. My coaches gave me the opportunity to come along to dress and I couldn’t thank them
I could no longer hear Bryce, who remained right next to me. The crowd brought life, a new feeling of excitement and anticipation, never before seen or experienced at the freshman basketball level. Our coach called us into the locker room, but I could not hear him, for the crowd was too loud and excited for me to focus on anything but them. As a result, I just stood and stared, amazed like a kid at Christmas or family seeing a skyscraper in a big city for the first
“Here we are” panted my dad as he sat down on a boulder. “Phew, that was rough” I seid as I sat down next to my dad. “Can I have a Clif Bar? It's hot out here backpacking.” seid my dad.
What’s the purpose of friendship? Unfortunately, I was forced to learn this the hard way when I attended the ‘Virginia Aerospace Science and Technology Scholars’ Summer Academy over the summer of my junior year. The experience at the academy was unlike any other, but the challenge to make new friends was the most intimidating there than anywhere else that I’ve visited, especially at my own school. Yet, my school holds many of the common and well known people, such as teachers, that I could lean on for mental support, while at the academy had everything but Franklin County. What I meant by ‘but Franklin County’, I am actually referring to the wide varieties of different ethnicities and educational backgrounds that imploded into one single summer
After we waited for maybe an hour just to get into the stadium. When we were walking up to our seats we can hear the loud crowd all over the stadium we could
The Trail of Tears was a cold hearted crime committed against innocent people in order to obtain the riches of the land the Native Americans had settled upon. The Native American’s refusal to leave resulted in the death of around 4,000 Cherokee people due to hunger, disease and long exposure to the cold. The Trail of Tears was the greatest crime against the indigenous people. The Trail of Tears began when President Andrew Jackson authorized the removal of the Indian removal act of 1830.
It had been a long day at the softball field and everyone on my team was exhausted. We had won every game that we had played that day. We had made it to the championship and we're ready to win. I was the pitcher so I had an important duty, to pitch as best as I could.
The fight for women’s or people of colors rights is not new. Women and people of color have been fighting since the beginning of time for their systematic rights. Sojourner Truth said in her speech “to the Women’s Rights Convention,” “I have heard much about the sexes being equal. I can carry as much as any man, and can eat as much too, if I can get it. I am strong as any man that is now” (890).
We finally arrived upon the stadium and it was unreal to see everything out on the field for my team and our
The Crucible Narrative We are in the woods. I, John Proctor, am with Abigail. We are in an argument. I hold a rock behind my back. “Abigail, you must stop with this pretense!”
"It's a beautiful day for baseball!" I shouted in the parking lot of the 5/3 Ballpark. My family and I were walking down the gigantic parking lot, with red square tiles, to get to the ballgame. We had a little under an hour and were truly in no rush. We could see the gates that led to the ballpark and I was extremely excited for the upcoming baseball game.
I am so thankful to be writing to you right now. Just a few hours ago, I was not sure I would be alive to retell the horrendous activities that have taken place. As you know, a few months ago, I joined a civil rights organization called the Freedom Riders. We are a nonviolent group of protesters that aim to bring attention to the civil rights movement and gain support. Three days ago, on May 4, we loaded the bus and set out for New Orleans.
As there were ten minutes before the game we kept on doing the drills until I heard my coach announcing the starting lineup. I heard my name being announced so I prepared myself to go to the field. I could already see the trophy as it was in a table. As I walked in the field I could smell the trimmed grass and could hear my teammates say “we got this.”
