This leaves one major question: How did the Roman Empire lose it power, land, and supremacy? There were 3 major reason for the fall of rome: Politics, Army Uniform, and most importantly, invasion. One example of an important reason Rome fell was because their leaders were constantly being killed by their successors. This installed a feeling of insecurity throughout Roman citizens everywhere. Evidence that this was a problem is clearly shown in Document A of the Fall of Rome DBQ.
(Document 3) These organization strategies and problem solving skills make them advanced and civil people. When the Mongols attacked they were very prepared, they had a way to defend themselves from the three thousand crossbows. They had awoke fear in the enemy which had many missiles ready, pointed towards them. (Document 4) Some of the prisoners were buried alive upside down and they would also execute then by bow and arrow. (Document 5) This technique would bring fear to the enemy of what could happen to them if they were to be captured.
These were people that were savage and evil. The reason for this is because the Mongols were taking over the land of all the people unexpectedly. They were looting and pillaging anywhere that they could and they didn't care who they ended up hurting. When they went into battle the Mongol army would also rape the women that they found in the certain villages that they went to. Even with all this happening they still managed to do certain things that are
The Roman Empire left a mark on history as one of the largest and most successful empires in history. How much territory did the Roman Empire rule over? At the Roman Empire’s pique, the Empire engulfed the entire Mediterranean and spread all across Western Europe and half of Great Britain. The Roman Empire was not taken likely by rival empires. Living in such an enormous empire had its benefits.
One of the greatest weaknesses that lead to the fall of the Western Roman Empire are the barbarian invasions. When the Roman soldiers were moved from the Rhine-Dhanube frontier to fight on civil wars in Italy, the Roman borders were left open to attacks. Not so long after Constantine moved Rome’s capitol, Germanic barbarians-people Romans considered uncivilized- began to raid and take over Roman lands in Greece and Gaul. Historians believe that the tribes actually started settling along the borders around 200s. Odavacer (a barbarian leader) takes over by overthrowing the last of the Roman emperors and made himself the ruler of Italy.
Conflicts between religions, overpopulation, natural and economic catastrophe, unsteady government, and external pressure from powerful neighbors were the key factors for the decline of Roman Empire. Indeed, both Roman and Carolingian Empire shared the same causes for its subsidence. Roman Empire is considered as the earliest civilization in the Western world. Romans were able to set its identity that time when Greek and Persian Empire had already spread out its robust civilization around the
This is my decision for the Herero people.” 2 days later, von Trotha wrote to the Chief of Staff: “I believe that this nation as a nation must be exterminated… I prefer for the nation to disappear entirely rather than allow them to infect our troops with their diseases.” After the defeat of the Herero, the Nama rebelled against the Germans, but von Trotha and his troops quickly shut them down. On April 22, 1905 von Trotha sent a message to the Nama, “The Nama who chooses not to surrender and lets himself be seen in the German area will be shot, until all are exterminated. Those who, at the start of the rebellion, committed murder against whites or have commanded that whites be murdered have, by law, forfeited their lives. As for the few not defeated, it will fare with them as it fared with the Herero, who in their blindness also believed that they could make successful war against the powerful German Emperor and the great German people. I ask you, where are the Herero today?” In total around 65,000 Herero, about 80% of the population, and 10,000 Nama, about 50% of the

Piracy interfered with trade in the Mediterranean, which was a big deal as Rome depended on trade for their food supply. A common way of trade was through ships. The Romans used ships because they were the fastest way to travel (Asadurian). Trade was not safe, though.
Throughout the Trojan War, Hector was always fighting, "he could not be a coward... [i]t was for him to fight always in the forefront of the battle (Hamilton 268).
