The Beastie Boys. Need I say more? When most think of the rambunctious rap group from that came straight out of the 1980’s, they think about girls, partying, crude humor and maybe some music in between. Although The Beastie Boys as a group did a few things that had never been done before in music history. Thats pretty incredible considering nobody expected something so revolutionary to come from three middle class white jewish kids from New York.

From 2001 to today, Fall Out Boy has become one of the iconic teenage boy-bands. If you were to start playing it in a room full of females, there’s a 80% chance someone would start screaming. The legacy began in Illinois as a hard-core rock band, where Patrick Stump, Pete Wentz, and Joe Trohman (they went through a series of drummers before deciding on Andy Hurley) stood in Joe’s garage fishing for old, battered instruments. There they created their first album, Take This to Your Grave. Next, they produced From Under the Cork Tree, Infinity on High, and the flop of Folie a Deux, before they went on hiatus just to come back three years later and create Save Rock and Roll. The most recent album they created was American Beauty/American Psycho, and they are in the process of making another one now. Fall Out Boy was one of the reasons Fueled by Ramen, an American record label that was struggling to get onto the music train, skyrocketed years later.

Jazz has shaped the world we know today. Jazz would have never been as popular without the help of the famous musicians: Jelly Roll Morton, Joe King Oliver, Sidney Bechet, Louis Armstrong, and Duke Ellington. These people helped spread the new genre through radio, railroads, and the records that they played. Where did this all start? The jazz age began in New Orleans where a certain King was born.

It all started in Liverpool in 1960 when four men came together to create the iconic band, The Beatles. The English rock band members consisted of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. They were able to create timeless music that still continues to influence artists even years after the end of the group’s time. Not only did they surpassed every limit that was reached before them, they left a mark on the music industry that most artist can only hope they achieve. They changed the way music itself was created and the way it was presented to people listening all over the world. There are few artists in the world that have been able to have the success The Beatles did, their musical achievements truly were one of a kind

Billy Mills was in Haskell Institute and decided to run while he was there. Haskell Institute is located in Kansas, U.S. When he went there it was a boarding school. He is an Indian from the Oglala Lakota Sioux tribe. He was born on June 30, 1938. He use to be a boxer and a runner when he was a youth, he gave up boxing to focus on his running. He is married to Pat Mills. They have three kids Christy, Lisa, and Billie Jo Anne. He lives in Sacramento, California with his family.

Pretend for a moment that it is 1966, and you are driving to work, tuning the radio in your car. You stop on a station playing “Last Train to Clarksville” by The Monkees, a song you recognize from their popular TV show. The Monkees was a band of four boys that starred as themselves in a TV show as themselves and produced music. Though the band had a relatively short lifespan, the members produced plenty of episodes of their show and songs during it, and later wrote more songs after the breakup of the band via reunion tours. The members of the Monkees were very influential in the development of television and music during the 1960’s.

Jeff coffin is an internationally recognized saxophonist, bandleader, composer and educator. He is a three time Grammy Award winner with Bela Fleck and the Fleckstones. He was born in August 5,1965. Futureman is an inventor, scientist, musician and a composer. He is a two time Grammy Award winning performer with Bela Fleck and the Fleckstones. He was born in October 13,1957.

The “Rolling Stones”, the “Greatest Rock ‘n’ Roll Band in the World”, or the “Stones” are all names of which the influential bad boys of Rock ‘n’ Roll go by. The well deserved and hardly argued title of the “Greatest Rock ‘n’ Roll Band in the World” was first bestowed upon them in the 1960s. Although there were other Rock ‘n’ Roll bands rising to fame at this time, almost simultaneously, the Rolling Stones graciously accepted the title and carried it to the top along with them, taking no breaks from the spotlight.

The five members went to school together, were friends together and also decided to quit school together. The members refused and never returned to school. This tight-knit group practiced together continuously. Their lives intertwined with each other and they became a close-knit family. They had an unusual barroom swagger, but their distinctive style was the guitar. Not only did they love the guitar, but they introduced to the audience a triple-lead guitar sound.

The Beatles are not only the biggest band of their time, they are one of the biggest bands of all times. The Beatles did not just sing to sing, they sang to give hope to a generation, they set some of the highest standards in popular culture, they changed music forever, and they still manage to affect our generation today.

George Harrison: The idealistic. He had faith in a perfect world that never materialized. Between every one of the individuals from the band, Harrison was the most masterfully subdued despite the fact that his optimism roused the majority of their music.

The Rolling Stones are one of the most well recognized and famous bands to ever perform and come from the country of England. At the peak of their careers, they took the world by storm and began to have a tremendous amount of publicity. Along with this attention, also came many varied opinions of the ‘Stones’, both good and bad. The band has had an insane history, of its good times and bad times, but throughout the time, they have still managed to stick together and are still performing today. By looking at the history and success of The Rolling Stones, one can see they are one the greatest bands of all time.
