My family's artifact has a lot of value because of its age and meaning. It came from my grandfather after the war. This artifact is a certificate of appreciation and was signed by the president. This certificate was sighed and given to him in 1972. He was appreciated for involving himself in the military and risked his life for our country. Certificates of appreciation are important because it shows the hard work they put into their services and their commitment. It shows recognition to his or her services and gives thanks for doing their best. It has significance to our family because it was his motivation.
