The family controversy between the Capulets and Montagues caused the death of Juliet, Tybalt, and Lady Montague. However, Shakespeare never indicated why the families never got along. Furthermore, Tybalt died, simply because he wanted to duel Romeo, and Romeo won. On the other hand, Juliet committed suicide after seeing Romeo had drunk poison. Also, after Romeo had passed, his mother, Lady Montague, had died from grief. Tybalt was a Capulet. His death was a cause of the family controversy. In "Romeo and Juliet" it states, "Which way ran he that killed Mercutio? Tybalt, that murderer, which way ran he?" Earlier that day, Tybalt wrote Romeo a letter saying he wanted to duel. Mercutio stepped in and tried to help Romeo, but ended up getting stabbed by Tybalt. After Romeo realized Mercutio was dead, he went after Tybalt and killed him. Friar Lawrence made her a sleeping potion, so she can fake her death. A letter was sent to Romeo explaining their plan, but his servant, Balthasar, arrived to him first. When Romeo arrived at the Capulets tomb, he kissed Juliet's lips, then drunk the poison. Just after, Juliet awakened, she soon noticed Romeo dead, then she attempted to drink some poison, but there was not any left.
