Essay 1 – Family system
What is family? Nowadays we cannot define family by just including your birth mother, father and siblings. As of these days, family can be define and feel by the emotional ties we had for others. Nowadays, we cannot measure the essence of being family or a part of family if; we are with our parents and siblings. The essence of being family was when we can feel, receive and give love, concern, understanding, endless care and support. According to Enrique, Howk, and Huitt (2007), there are several definition of family. “Family can be a group people held together by birth, marriage, or adoption or by common ancestors in a lineage, a tribe or a clan.” They’ve stated too that family is the smallest unit of society, and, therefore, critical to its development and maintenance.

enmeshment, mutuality vs. isolation, flexibility vs. rigidity, stability vs. disorganization, clear vs. unclear or distorted perception, clear vs. unclear or distorted communication, role reciprocity vs. unclear roles or role conflict, and clear vs. diffuse or breached generational boundaries. These eight dimension stand for that children have a stable and balanced environment in which they can grow and learn. Children become proficient in interaction with their own family members, friends, and others if, parents provide a warm, supportive environment and strong, positive relationships are encouraged. However, not all have parents that can provide these things, so, whoever is responsible and taking care of children will have to give warm, supportive environment and strong relationships thus, providing the child the knowledge to be proficient in interacting with
